I've only got Lampard and Bent playing tonight so here's hoping a 3-3 with both getting hat tricks :D

How exactly do automatic subs work?

If, for example, I have Crouch and Park in my team, both of whom may not start but may well come off the bench and play, will they get automatically subbed when the game sees that they're not starting? Or will they only get automatically subbed after their respective matches, and only if they haven't played at all?

Thing is, if it's the first one, it seems better to actually play a couple of players who I can guarantee won't play this week (as they have no matches), and then making sure that they get automatically subbed for Crouch and Park. Which seems silly.

At the end of the gameweek, any players that have not played at all will be automatically substituted for your subs in the order that you chose beforehand.

Ok that's cool, so if I play Crouch he'll only be subbed if he doesn't step onto the pitch, rather than if he doesn't start?

Question. I have almost a full squad playing for GW2 without needing any changes but Ebanks-Blake is injured. Only sub I have left whose team are playing tonight is Zayatte of Hull. Do I leave Ebanks-Blake in or risk Spurs running rings around Hull and scoring lots of goals.

Won't Zayatte get automatically transferred in anyway when Ebanks-Blake doesn't play?

free transfers have never rolled over before, might want to check the rules. I hadn't heard of them adding that.

Edit: "If you don't use your free transfer then you'll be able to make an additional free transfer the following gameweek. These saved transfers don't accumulate and can only be used the following gameweek. "

So I think that mean you get 2 next week but they don't accumulate any higher than that?

Sounds right to me.

What you can do if you're not sure about injuries is to pick the players and set your sub order accordingly. Can be a bit of risk though as they may not play the whole match (e.g. Nani got subbed early).

Well I never even thought this (checking regularly), especially about midweek games too. Boss at work told me about it today, and well, since we've got £450 in a pot its now serious business!

Checking it now, and every bloody day haha.
