Very loud computer coming from outside my back garden.

Its a vampire pc that lives in the school.

It uses the sound to try and lure you outside where it can bite you and spread the vampire pc virus.
 
I'll bet it's one of those predators with a faulty wrist computer. Just make sure you don't pick up a weapon and coat yourself with mud and you'll be fine.

If you hear a constant beeping noise that gradually builds up however, run.
 
I heard this once from the flat next door. The windows log-in sound VERY loud, could hear every chime of it. Well, I know she uses XP :p
 
Are you near a mobile telephone mast station or a green cable TV box? The cabs can generate a fair amount of noise once they get going.

Failing that, there's a mole at the bottom of your garden using your discarded PC components. Check your router access logs.
 
Could be someone using a computer in their attic as the shape of the roof acts like a speaker, amplifying the sound quite a lot. The people over the back had a attc conversion and you could hear people speaking quite loudly in it.
 
I think theres an attic conversion next door to him on the right. He has neighbours on both sides, just the gardens connect on the left though the houses are seperated by an alley. Chances are its just next door on the right one of the kids in the attic.
 
I think you should try and make contact with the other computer user by replying to his loud log off sound with one of your own, like the way they do in Close Encounters.
