Low calorie water

I was in the supermarket the other day and saw "Ironing Water" for 99p a litre... I thought that was pretty daft!

I'm old enough to remember my dad topping up the battery in our car with de-ionised water from the local petrol station :(

Meh, i thought it was ridiculous, and still do, but its not just plain water, it has L-carnitine and chromium added, both are useful for burning fat but its not exactly going to do it on its own.

We get very little chromium and should get more, of the top of my head its fantastic at helping to keep your blood sugar levels steady and l'carnitine is a pretty damn important substance used in the metabolising of fat for energy. Its worth about 5p a litre more than usual water, maybe.

God damned stupid name though, both the skinny water, and calling it low calorie are retarded, but then again you probably have lots of stupid fat chav women buying it thinking its great.

EDIT:- I just noticed they had a Skinny Cola, I guess it makes a marginal amount of sense if that was their first product, they came out with a low calorie Coke with a couple nutrients added, then they extended that range and kept the name, even if it does sound completely retarded.

It's not water on its own.
It's a fruit juice drink like Oasis or cordial, with additives that are meant to reduce sugar cravings (appetite suppresants)

That is a purely mad product - most people will do anything to avoid a little common sense, reading and exercise to stop them feeling fat, or unfit.

I think Skinny water or "Diet Water" is a great brand name/marketting exercise for something that is not actually just water :)

Maybe do the opposite and go for "Full Fat Water" :D

Not that I use it, but if you try ironing with water straight from my tap your clothes will be covered in white dust and the iron will fur up incredibly fast.

As said above, depends if you live in a hard or soft water area. I live in a soft water area so tap water doesn't destroy irons or kettles, in hard water areas it will destroy them.

Lake District water FTW!

Kettle has never been cleaned, and has absolutely no build up of anything at all. Softest water in England.

You can get things on your water supply where you just pour salt in the top every now and then and it makes your water soft.

This has got me thinking, anyone want to invest in my latest idea......

.....Low calorie air !

Even though in biological usage of the term "calorie" water isn't considered to have any, technically the calorie is simply a unit of energy and so everything has calories, a calorie is the specific heat capacity of water, so in fact lower temperature water has less calories! The exact amount can be calculated using the equation Q=mc/\T.

I give it a week before some 'celebrity' tells everyone how she only drinks low calorie water and eats egg shells, and she's lost 10 stone and has never felt better.
