As you can see from that link Canon have just announced the G11. The most interesting thing baout this is that it's predecessor, the G10 had 14.7 mega pixels but this only has 10. As far as I know this is the first time Canon have 'downgraded' there cameras in such a way. It seems they've listened to the criticism about the G10 and released something that will have better dynamic range and noise handling at the expense of resolution.
Rumours are circulating about a 60D and a 1D Mk4 coming out late august/early september and if the G11 indicates a shift in Canon's design philosophy they should be pretty impressive. Hopefully Canon have finally stopped fighting the megapixel race and might bring out some pretty impressive DSLRs soon.
