I have got 2 weeks induction as part of a year placement from uni.

The induction 2 weeks does not require a full suit but the dress code is smart casual.

Would suit trousers and a work shirt (the sort of shirt you wear with a suit) be ok for this? - No tie and jacket obviously.
Seems a bit daft buying new clothes for an induction but if need be I will have to.

What would you lot wear for work as smart casual?

Thanks

Yep. Just look neat and clean.

After your first day on the induction, you will get a good idea of what you will be expected to wear on the remaining days.

Black trousers, black shoes, and a shirt. A tie would also look better to be honest, but I'd skip the suit jacket.

I'd be tempted to wear a tie on the first day and play it by ear. Better to turn up overdressed and have to loose the tie than be the only person with an open collar, that's just me though.

Rule of thumb's it's better to be over-dressed rather than under-dressed.

2 weeks induction:eek:

The NHS one is half a day and that's like torture with death by Powerpoint.
I've also bought my students induction down from 7 days to 3 days because of how boring it can be.
