Most Common Names - Census surprise

I did wisper mohammed to myself as I clicked on this thread.

Fortunately they can only ever take up 2 places on the list, and they're basically the same name anyway.

Mohamed and all of its variations are obvious going to be number one, it's a ridiculously popular name.

38 :)

Nope.

Both wrong. 17th.

The girls' names popularity is far more interesting. Emily is finally dethroned by...Grace. Second place is Ruby, strangely enough. Olivia makes it into third.

Previously common names like Sarah and Victoria are a long way down the list...

Number 1 hate my name always turning around thinking some1 is calling me only to find out its not me they want :(

I just searched the year I was born and it wasnt even in the top 100 :D so i can pretend i made it popular :o

OMG, Muslims are quite often called Mohammad and some of them live in the UK!!!!!!

OK Now we are over this initial major piece of news I think it shows how stupid people are that they can't even think of their own names and seem to copy of TV stars and such, kind of sad really. I was born in 1985 when Mark was probably pretty popular, doh.

My kid is going to have to be called Adolf or Leonardo.

EDIt, mark was 32 out of boys in 1985 so not too common then. :D
