Living in the UK for a couple of years however, I do see that a lot of British girls cheat and fall for money. It wasn't this way, say ten years ago. People would respect others because of their personality and achievements. Now many people, especially women, only care about wearing big brands and diamonds and spending time in Harrods and Selfridges as much as they can.

Many girls are secret prostitutes, many others just die to get themselves on a lads mag.

Wrong! If you've been together that long you should know. Sounds like you dropped the ball and someone else picked it up. Girls need attention. Happened to me a few years ago, we did eventually get back together and still are, but it was rough for a while.
 
I came out of a 4yr relationship last month while I was on holiday (nice eh, first night on holiday (just with family fortunately)!) so headed over to one of the hotel's bars and got sloshed with brother. Got chatting to an American dude who essentially said "you guys with your British accents and these girls, get out there!" so duly took said advice :D

To the OP - crap happens doesn't it. Plenty more fish in the sea and you (we) are still young - think of it as an opportunity to be yourself, discover new things, not feel tied down - heck at our age we shouldn't take any relationship too seriously if it should decide to cave in. We're young and going out with new people is a vital part of it :)
 
Every time I read a post like the OP's, my deep seated hatred of women feels slightly more vindicated. It's time more people realised how different the two sexes are.

10 years ago!!! I think you would have to go back at least 30 years to see a significant change in attitudes. Where are you from originally - and what was / is it like there?
 
Sorry to read this mate, as many have said - get out and live a little before thinking of settling down again. Thing is, when someone does this once they tend to do it again and again - best thing is to stay away from that sort of ****.

Stay strong bud, all be well in the end...

You're not hearing the experiences of the women in the world though, are you?

This is a male dominated forum, and people tend not to post when they're happy, so all you're reading is how terrible women are.

Basically, as humans we average out into a fairly selfish, not-really-honourable person. There's good and bad in both sexes.

@ OP - really sorry to read about your situation. Been supporting my best mate through a similar circumstance these last few weeks. Truly seems like a summer of discontent. 3 of my mates (male and female as it goes) have split from long term partners.

Re. the ex - as per many of the posts, go out and try to have some fun, she really isn't worth it. Think back over the last few years and if there is something you put off because you were in a long term relationship, go do it, whether it be travel, getting a motorbike, doing some training. As they say, one door close, another one opens.

And yes girls do suck :)
 
One thing I would point out is that someone who would do something like that
Will more than likely do it again , so your best rid of her
