Whats all this banging on about "Passion" in a Skoda VRS, have they been smoking on da crack pipe?

I like the engine in the VRS, its easy to mod and get loads of power out of, which is a good thing, however i prefer the looks of the ST220 and its a better drive.

Lets put this back into perspective shall we, none of these cars, be they an ST220, an Octavia vRS or a Volvo S60 T5 etc are exactly overflowing with automotive passion and 'joie de vivre' really now are they. All of them are fast versions of bog standard every day cars, none of them are exotic sports cars built with love and care by people who drink petrol in the morning and snort break dust in the evenings.

^^ What Moeks said

If you want passion/soul, buy something italian and let it drain your wallet every week

just received a call from the owner, his wife has found the log book and hes posting it today 1st class recorded. :)

because he wanted £2900 for him to mot it

i payed £2400 for me to mot it myself, i can do all the work myself if it fails and im sure mot the parts are from golfs and theres plenty of golfs in scrap yards so i dont really care

That would have rung big alarm bells to me - if he wanted another 500 quid he obviously knows theres something wrong with it. Hope its nothing serious :(

theres nothing wrong with it it drives perfect

ive phoned 10 mot centres so far, theyre all fully booked until next week!! :(

An MOT is about £50 isn't it? It's certainly not £500.

I've driven cars that feel fine but fail the MOT for some reason. He obviously knows what it is or he would have paid £40 to have it done and sold it for more cash

We'll see, we'll see. I suspect there will be something wrong with it, the circumstances of the sale strongly suggest that there will be, or the previous owner would have had it MOT'ed and pocketed £450.

I can't help be feel we're being drip fed information by the op on purpose to get responses out of you guys, i find the way the event have unfolded very odd to say the least and no sane person would have purchases that car under those circumstances, something doesn't add up imho.

Not surprising with how quick people jump on threads like this.
