Indeed, why you would spend £2 on some secondhand pads, pads that should not be fitted to another set of discs after they have been run in is beyond me, whats a new set of cheap front pads, some basic mintex ones come in around £20.

Hardly worth the risk for £18 imho.

Maybe the pads where the cause of the crash , You just never know and personally I wouldnt take that chance

theres no risk, the pad will wear into the disc in no time at all

Thats a cost breakdown on my car which i said i was going to post, i know not "all" items might carry the same labour rates.

I suspect the fitting to a transverse engine will cost around £280 - 300 all in.

£300 sounds about right.

The control arm set-up is totally different on the Octavia. Nowhere near as complicated or costly.
