Quit playing WoW just about a year ago. I was pretty hardcore in in the original game and in TBC.
Looking at all the changes in the new "must have" expansion I'm so glad I stopped playing. Same carp, different day tbh. Although, I would never have said that when I was playing the game

Can these types of posts please stop? This was supposed to be a thread about the new expansion. Instead, as per usual with most WoW threads, it gets run off topic into the realms of "I quit, WOOO ME!" or "GG Blizz nubs, yr gaem iz for t3h casuals.". Please let us WoW players, how ever nubbish or casual or carebear you think we are, alone.

I used to think it was just our raid leader screaming 'more dots' on onyxia, seems it was common
I was in the original guild (although not the particular raid that the famed Ventrilo recordings were made) and I find the whole thing - including the achievement names - pretty tiresome. We had so many level 1 rerollers coming to our realm and chat-spamming us with the quotes, as if we hadn't been playing with the GM for the last 6 months. An utter bore.
FYI our guild was <Wipe Club> of Boulderfist EU, Horde. The 'famous' GM was called Dives, known in TBC as Divesium, but now he has quit too and just plays BF2 casually. Crazy Finnish guy with a big ego-problem that was made 100x worse by those recordings becoming popular. Though it's not all bad, I got my Bloodfang Helm from an Onyxia raid with Wipe Club & co.
. That's an olllld memory!Welcome to a forum. I have read all the updates for the Cataclysm expansion, thread title implies discussion regarding said expansion. My post implied they don't look all that amazing for me personally, having quit the game.
I was not seeking praise for quitting, ridiculing blizzard (as they are awesome developers) or dishing out abuse for people playing the game still as that would make me a hypocrite.
I can see why people still play the game will enjoy the new updates. Especially people active in raiding guilds.
Sorry if my post annoyed you. Good luck to all the people still playing the game!
So with the new race changes I can just change my char into a Worgen without leveling it?
No, they have said there will be restrictions to prevent doing this if race change is out before or at the same time a Cataclysm.

This might get me back for a bit. Always liked the Shaman playstyle but with most of my friends on Alliance I would have been forced into to the Draenei route i can't get in with the tale hoof voice thing. A dwarf shammy might just tempt me back.

Almost ALMOST sig worthy !
This expansion looks exactly what the games needed for sometime and im really looking forward too it, the new ruined areas of azeroth look like they should be fun and im hoping the quest chains are as good as the enivroment.
Might have to reroll but not sure what as currently got 80 Troll SP DPS and 80 Belf DK Tank, any suggestions ?

Not once have I ever considered rolling alliance. But I have to say the worgan does tempt me. Shame that about 10million other people will be rolling them too
I might just hold of for a month or two until the rush has worn off. I will deffo roll one just to see the starting zone. They said its going to be better than the DK one - which I really loved.
