Thought this patch gives widescreen resolutions in the menu now ? It did in the beta.

Is this actually legit this time around? I thought I heard they were patching it months ago.
Also what's this about "boosters"? I only ever had the original BF2 and one of the expansion packs (with zipwires iirc, but I never played it - only got it for the additional unlocks it gave you)
Hopefully if this is legit they'll be fixing the ridiculous plane imba.
EDIT: I should've probably just read the patch notes first.

Booster packs now free
which is what everyone who bought them wanted for such a long time because the euro forces etc servers were always dead i think only around 3 of them were active
Slightly annoying that I bought the boosters and could hardly ever play them for lack of servers, at least it was only a few quid. On the upside, it will finally be time to give the packs some loving.
Been waiting for this patch for a long time, every time a friend suggest we get back into BF2 I decline in anticiaption for a patch.
Better hit detection is a biggie for me, and the new map is pretty good too. Can't wait.

If it works fine in Vista now, that'll do me.
It always did for me
Hmmmn...I had various issues with it such as looping sound and random lockups but it was early into Vista's life.
Never tried it since but I'll definitely be re-installing it tonight in preparation for the patch.

Oh amazing stuff..... I'll definitely be coming back to BF2 for the first time in a few years with a new boost and the ability to try out some of the content I never got to try from those 2 addons (I've got special forces)
No, stupid server admins not advertising it or stupid players not being able to read was the dumbest thing.
But great news on the patch, just hope it works and no one has any issues with it. Plus as a server admin eight 'new' maps to play about with in the rotation will be v.nice. That's if we can ever get the clan to agree on what ones to play and in what order, lol, have a hard enough time with that as it is.
