Badoer is consistantly setting good first sector times, and OKish final sector times, but is almost 3 seconds down in the middle sector?

That's because the first sector consists of one hairpin, and then flat out to the end of the sector, and the final sector is the flat out bit around the fast corners from Stavelot, with one braking zone and a chicane before the line.

Sector two is the middle of the lap with all the corners and bits that require skill in!

I'm guessing only one of them, as one of the Brawns just now definitely didn't have it. Didn't see who it was and haven't noticed the sharkfin yet myself

It's not broadcasted from the event like that. It's only on site I believe.
Next year we can hope for HD.

Anyone else impressed with Grosjean? Okay, so he didn't do so well in the last race, but he is new to F1, and he's managed to show some real pace during the weekend. I'm hoping he can manage a better showing in the race this weekend.

Thats what I heard, and I assumed he just mean higher resolution cameras, rather than actual HD.

Pretty much everyone within a second, thats impressive. Suprised to see Button, Rubens and Rosberg being 3 of the bottom 4.
No suprise to see Badoer there though!

V.Suprised to see Brawn so far down the field, not looking good for them this weekend. Will be interesting to see what the drivers and Ross Brawn have to say about it.

Noticed this last week in Valencia. The difference in quality even on normal tv is fantastic. RBR, Macca, Ferrari and I think Brawn are running the HD cameras and when it switched to a Force India during the race it was a staggering difference. This is only the second time I have had the chance to watch free practice sessions this season due to work and its a great addition to the F1 TV schedule. Loving the line comparison.

Brawn's are definitely having a hard time - its not really anything to do with setting the car up, looks like they are still suffering from low tyre temp

(cant see how a shark fin would assist with heating the tyres much , but I seriously hope they get it sorted tomorrow to get into q3 at the very least
