He's a shocking keeper at the best of times.

I've been saying this since his loan spell at Watford. Makes fantastic saves every now n' then but that doesn't make him a good keeper!

Like I say, I think that he may well have started to fall before Almunia touched him. The difference, though, between this one and Eduardo's is that Rooney got caught, whether he was going down or not. Eduardo was never touched.

Even as a United fan - I'll say that Eduardo did get touched. Replayed it loads of times on Sky+, and he did get caught by the keepers thigh.

He has been utterly pants this season so far; can still read the game and pass but tends to be completely off the pace.

EDIT: He's still better than "deadly" Wesley!

Fair enough, I've seen it only four or five times, and didn't see him get caught at all...and I'm a big Eduardo fan, think he's a top player.

I actually think that Rooney may have also been caught by Almunia's thigh though.
