you hi end pc owners with a console

No. It does on the PC though. I always look at the FPS and then look if there might be better graphics drivers or maybe try overclocking the graphics card a bit more etc. I'll try and google for benchmarks for a particular game and my graphics card/CPU.

On the PS3 I just play the game.

Slightly backwards but thats how it works for me. Most games that come out on the PC at the moment are just console ports anyway and the (sometimes) difference isn't worth the £. Focusing on graphics/detail etc is only one aspect of a game or gaming. I actually find gaming at 30fps better than a game that fluctuates between 35-60. Things like being inside a building and running up to a window and it slowing down as it renders outside etc. Console gaming is very different to PC gaming. things like seamless online/offline gaming make a big difference.

Oh and this console loading times thing. I keep hearing about it but haven't seen it yet. I've only played about 10 games on it so far though. I'm sure there will be games on every platform with long loading times.

As a few other people have said, the only thing that gets to me is the lack of anti aliasing. Other than that, my xbox gets a hug on a regular basis for being so good :D

Doesn't bother me. I find with console games I just sit back, play and accept the performance. If i'm playing a PC fps, however, I find it quite frustrating when the frame rate drops below 60.

only thing that REALLY bugs me is the unskippable starting frames from GTAIV, DO NOT WANT!

What you mean the logo/title scenes? I *REALLY* hate games that don't let you skip them, drives me mad! Why should we care about random companies when we already bought the game, just wanna plaaaayyyy! Argh!

yeah and those screens before, has some guys braking into a crate, some hooker, and some rastas playing dominoes!

You have to love consoles for their simplicity really, what I mean is you can pop a game in and you are up and running playing & chatting to people from all over the globe.

Although I love my PC games the fact you have to mess about tweaking this and tweaking that just to get 30fps is ever so annoying.
A prime example is ARMA2 oh and this long awaited BF2 1.5 patch has its own problems too.

I know we all love tinkering with PC's thats why we are here and you are reading this thread but sometimes we just wanna pop a game in and play it. Consoles do exactly that....

Arma2 is a particularly extreme case for this. It's just plain broken in that respect. It was a shame cos I was absolutely pumped for it but the performance issues have still not been sorted. When Flashpoint 2 comes out next month I expect it will just run. That will def be one to own for PC.

No, I can play a game pretty much straight out of the box without hunting for patches and updates. Life is too short, and far too interesting, to mess around with PC gaming now. The last game I bought was for the PC was ArmaA 2 and it just requires too much time to actually get it runnning decent.

Are you guys serious about how it looks?

I mean considering most gaming rigs have a Graphic card that costs the price of a XBOX360 & PS3, i think compared they look a lot worse at times on pc graphics wise.

Christ knows how that is possible considering the crappy GPU used in consoles. I find it quite shocking how games just look much better & sharper on a console than pc version.

Infact it ****es me off, i hate console gaming, qould never go back to it. But do feel us pc gamers are slightly fooling ourselves.

We should see a big difference between pc & console version of a game, which we don't it seems, and infact run risk of of worrying about FPS. WTF.........very annoying.
