Who has SKY HD+?

i have followed the instructions from AVforums, i have found ITVHD but its stored in my other chanels not on the main program finder, its page number is 10510, which you cant obviously type into the epg as its only a 4 digital number at max. any ideas?
Can only get to it through Other Channels unfortunately. But still, its basically just football on it so when its on you leave it on that channel most of the time anyway
Although a few weeks ago King Kong was on ITVHD. Looked unbelievable. Some of the best looking HD i have seen.
Well you have it saved in other channels don't you, so you just go there every time. As far as I'm aware that's all you can do. Annoying isn't it?
Same problem i have as well..rung up Sky last week and registered for the SKY HD...got an email on fri saying that it could be up to 3 mths before i get it...bloody ridiculous if you ask me..surely they know the demand is so high so they should get it sorted ie times wise...bunch of ****ing idiots sky are.
Funny thing is that my bro whos a new customer had his put in last week within a week of ordering it.
Im giving it another 2 weeks...if no word then ill cancel my existing sky sub and just come back as a new customer ie currently the sky sub is on my mums name so will get her to cancel it then ill re-order it again.
Hey guys have sky + at the moment want to change to sky HD am I right in thinking that it's just a switch of boxes or do more cables have to be run , also would I be able to put the plus box in boys room he has standerd one at moment would just mean them running another cable to his room .
Had the same thing at home, sky+ in main room with normal box as multiroom.
When we upgraded to HD it was a straight switch for the sky+ box as that already has a shotgun cable going into it. The installer then ran another shotgun cable into the multiroom for the sky+ box to be moved over there.
Just mention you want to move your sky+ box to the other room and need another cable to be run there. It is free, and whatever you do don't let teh installer try and take away your plus box, I have heard stories of some trying.

And the Pace one is slow and buggy aparently... id rather it was a fully working guide and wait a bit longer considering there is nothing wrong with the current one(would like to get ITVHD tho)
sorry mate i have got 2 pace boxs both with the new EPG they have never been slow or buggy? ? I really like the new EPG but ITV HD is pants only good for the football.

Really want to try it....
the new epg is very good and for me not slow at all. i have the new V4 Pace box which is faultless and fast.
but the quality of the HD programmes have gone down hill since the update.
i wish i had the old EPG with the better decoding of HD programmes than the new one with rubbish HD picture quality.
very disapointed at the moment.

I agree there is something not quite right about HD programmes on the Pace.
Personally, I believe it could be a high frequency issue in relation to contrast setting on the receiver.
Prior to the upgrade, the the contrast setting wasn't functioning correctly, i.e. Low was far too low and High is never an option anyway as it blows out bright detail. However, I believe the image was 'passing through' correctly prior to the upgrade using Medium contrast, as it should do, so it wasn't a problem.
Since the upgrade, people believe the contrast setting has been fixed in that there is now only a subtle increase between all three, making Low and Medium 'usable', however I think the image isn't passing through correctly now using Medium, in that it's a bit too low, hence resulting in a loss of high frequencies which will mean loss of picture detail.
I believe the best way for Sky to resolve the picture quality degradation issue would be to remove the contrast setting on the receiver altogether and just let the image pass through.
That way you could be sure you are getting the optimum performance from the receiver/TV combination, and I guarantee you HD would look a lot better than it currently does.

i've noticed the contrast on the epg now works better but on some aspects the blacks all seem grainy and the grass on the football pitch etc is no where near as crisp as it was before.
I watched a Real Madrid V (Some Irish Team) and the picture detail was just amazing. even the GF said how good it looked. Yet now it's no where near as crisp or clear.
the LUSH (if thats correct) channel which they use to show you the difference isn't as clear either. Before the food jumped out at you and reall showed deep colours and detail but it's all gone flat now and has really lost the wow factor.
i had an engineer come out as say there will be patches to resolve it all which i hope it does or i may have to cancel the HD as it's not the quality i had before
