what if germany won WW2

We would not exist, as Hitler invaded Europe to cleanse it because he thought that the other people were not pure or something. Our parents and grandparents would have been gassed.

You obviously never met anyone like my grandfather (may he rest in eternal torment) the antisemetic twisted Hitler worshiping scumbag.

Yes incase anyone says, he was an axis soldier and he was all for everything they did.

There would exist The British Empire, The Third Reich and maybe a Japanese Empire.

America would be nothing. Probably jointly invaded by Britain and Germany or something.

Let me tell you how it goes.

In 1953 The Third Reich, exhausted by long war with native tribes in the middle east and northern Africa receives final punch destabilizing their economy - Soviet Russia under Nikita Khruschiev joins US in trade sanctions against TTR and large military forces gather at Reich/Soviet border line, with long range rocket installations around Fort Stalingrad and Leningrad Line. The cold war begins.

In late 1960ies while US is involved in fighting Japanese trying to establish royalist governments in Korea and Vietnam, The Third Reich goes through violent and bloody civil uprising led by marxist, self proclaimed Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) trying to overturn the government run by National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP) in coalition with with Social Christian Party of Germany (SPD).

While Reich Fuhrer recalls the remote Wehrmacht and SS units from outskirts of the country to fight the SED, armed by Russia, and prevent take over of East Berlin, this allows Scottish Tartan Partisans together with Irish Republican Army to push back weakening German forces first to Antonine Wall and two months later establish heavily entrenched line along Hadrian's Wall. At the gates of Lügenvälium Kastell (previously Carlisle), the iconic "Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer" in marble is painted over with "Alba Gu Bra" in red letters. Entrenched and armed, Scottish units have no intention of venturing further south...

There is massive anti-British sentiment on these forums.

I'd love to see the demographic data that makes up our little population base.

So were millions of other Germans, he wasn't alone. I think you have to understand what was going on in Germany at the time Hitler came to power to understand why people followed him fervantly. Your Grandfather may have been a nice chap otherwise.

Britain and Germany combined would not have the military strength or supply capability to invade and pacify the USA.

It is 3000 miles away from British shores and seperated by a vast ocean. Supplies, reinforcements and war materials would not be possible to maintain.

As has been pointed out at least twice already, there was no British Empire after WWII, so there could not possibly be one after WWII.

Yes there was and it was dismantled in the post war years (1945–1997) by peaceful disengagement.

It did still exist, but the British Government had recognised that it was no longer viable. The main issue they had was dismantling it without upsetting the UK population.

I'd have been ok, I've got blue eyes, blond hair and I am over 6ft tall. Its everyone else you gotta worry about.
Besides we got enough to worry about with American Imperialism, without wondering about whether the 3rd reich was actually sustainable or not.

But the Germans never really stood a chance did they? They were arguably an even match for the Soviet Union, but even then, the Russian winters and superior numbers would have eventually put the Ruskies on top. With Western Europe also giving them grief (of course, not nearly as much grief as the Eastern front), the Nazis were already outclassed. And when America joined in, that was pretty much curtains for Hitler.

People like to talk about how close we came to "speaking German", but it's not even close to true. There would have had to have been some monumental change like the Russians changing sides to swing the balance of power in their favour.

And I'm sorry if it's already been said, but my laptop is running out of batteries so I don't have time to read through a huge long thread. :p

No longer viable? Only as we were militarily and financially bankrupt. If WW1+2 hadn't've happen, I'm sure the Empire would be alive and kicking today. Most likely with devolved powers.

That is why the first thing they'd do is invade Greenland and establish a base and supplies depot.
