Definitely a good thing. In fact I'd be in favour of a longer ban.
Diving is ruining the game, and hopefully this will put a stop to it.
Hahahahahahahahaha!
Seriously, hopefully there will be consistency with regards to diving for penalties and freekicks around the penalty area.
He deserves the ban to be honest. It was the most shameless dive I have ever seen, and I see a lot. It's a pity this doesn't happen a lot more often, as it would deter the practice considerably.
Eduardo should have received a far more severe punishment though. A month's ban, plus the wages docked. That would send a message. Two games is nothing, especially if they're small ones.

Believe me, ask any Celtic supporter if Gordon Smith is pro-Celtic.
Fair's fair if all decisions get treated the same way.
A game later Rooney started to go down before any contact by Almunia. The ref didn't pick anything up etc., but will Rooney be punished? You can understand Wenger's bitterness that it's so inconsistantly done, and that even if Eduardo was supposed to be an example, nothing's changed.
Surely, if anything Eduardo (and others) should be getting retrospective yellows, aka what would be given should a bit of simulation is detected by the ref.
I am guessing UEFA will only get involved in European matches (Champions League and Europa League)
Every team cheats.
I find it scandalous that Eduardo is getting two match ban for breaking the rules when so many other rules are breached. In the Arsenal Manchester match last week Evra kicked the ball off the pitch then claimed for a throw in, that is cheating so why is he not getting suspended?
Yet if it wasn't him kicking up a fuss, this thread wouldn't be here.![]()
