BF2 1.5 patch on 1 September

urrrggh, tried it again, uninstall, restart, fully install the DVD, restart, patch up to 1.50 and it's finally patching, 2 hours after the first attempt, wow EA/Dice, i didn't think installing BF2 could possibly get any harder to get it to run properly but you've excelled yourselves this time :rolleyes: :p

It wouldn't be BF2 if it worked first time now would it?
Now go load up a server and watch it crash to desktop or have PB kick you :p

no, that was fine, played on my old favourite server, one of those karkand 24/7 inf only ones, but it wasn't as good as it used to be (not the game, the server) but the game is as good as i remember it being, if a little more arcadey (than i remember it being), might sink some more hours in to this now, 1.40 killed it for me and then 1.41 killed it for everyone else :p

Ah, that's only what i've heard didn't have a chance to test it. It wouldn't let me tab back in earlier no matter how many tries i gave it.
 
downloaded the patch, had a quick go! oh the good times! :D

yeah I'm using Windows 7 RC 7100 and it works fine. You have to manually update PB though due to the administrative copying rights thingy.

Worked for me yesterday without 10mins of messing around with punkbuster -.-

Also It wouldn't let me change my AA settings? Just made a ding noise and went back to NONE after I click okay? :P

You could try changing it outside the game, find \Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001 (might not be 0001) open the video.con file in notepad and change the Antialiasing to 2Samples or what ever number you want.
