BF2 1.5 patch on 1 September

Cant say im impressed with the patch, infantry still seem to be bouncing around all over the place, helo pilots can hover at one side of the map and use that point and click missile to get cheap one hit kills on other helos and armour virtually on the othe side of the map. Wouldnt be so bad if it was actually a secondary player doing it but its the pilot switching seats to do it.

People still tkill to get vehicles, the vast majority of your team seem to want to stay at vehicle spawns to get a plane, planes as usual seem to have their own little war with other planes and may as well be playing a seperate game as they take near enough nothing to do with whats going on at ground level.

Roll on bf3 where im sure it will be a large case of deja vu.

must just be me then it still doesnt work under vista 64 so i've decided to install a copy of xp i had laying around on a seperate HD only 60gb and just use that for bf2.

Anyone else get any bad Z fighting (graphical glitches) on borded up windows of buildings and warehouses.

Its it very evident on Dalian Plant iirc, well for me at least!

Every online game has exploits and knob heads......nature of the beast..

You just have to accept the limitations and get on with your own game....if not then theres no point in playing any online game.

Considering the game has just had a recent patch you woulda thought that this exploit would be removed. But like the vast majority of pc online games the cheap way of playing soon becomes the standard way to play. And the sad fact about bf2 is it lends itself almost exclusively to knobheads and their style of play.

Just sounds like you are playing on the wrong servers tbh. Looks for clan servers that have a few clan members on as they should be fairly well admin'd.

On our server we kick for seat switching in the attack choppers and for not queing/TK'ing for vehicles. Obviously we can't keep on top of all of it all of the time but when there's a few of us on we try our best to run a good game.

If you end up on a server full of idiots don't stay there getting frustrated, just leave and find another. When you do find one you like set to your favourites. You only really need a list of half a dozen or so for different play styles, time zones etc and then you can pretty much always get a decent game.

Plus the more regular you become on a server the better things seem to get as you start to recognise the decent players, and them you. Being in a squad with a few other decent players goes a long way to helping to ignore the other few dozen idiots on a server.

How come it still takes 60 seconds to log me in? Other games take less than a second. :/

I could never get on with the player movement in the BF series, tanks and vehicles (not the buggies) feel great but the movement is nowhere near as responsive or accurate with the infantry.

what do i need to do to update the punk buster?

I just can't get on any server at all.. it just says connection to the server has been lost, and this is just after i try to join it.
