Just got back from a week in belgium inc the SPA gp. OCUK mini meet pics(well me and skeeter) will be posted soon.

We were also on TV during quali just before the cars went out for q1

Downloading the Quali footage to screen cap as we speak!

no, It wasnt as wide, but it did have a "run off". There was a wide exit, or a tight exit. Some drivers run right upto the wall, others kept tight. But it was all part of the track (right upto the wall). Now the track is marked out, and the wide exit is now part of a run off area. Yes its wider but they werent met with a concrete wall like you say.
Looks like a pretty deterring wall, that i wouldn't want to risk driving through to be able to get a good kers boost up eau rouge from, unlike today's layout(which is crap).

the oil leak looking far more dramatic than it actually was?

The oil leak. It doesn't matter if it looked more dramatic than it was for a lap or so we did not know the problem and as such added excitement. Even after teh team radio he could have still run out of oil or lost oil pressure.

All I was suggesting is that it was too near the end to entice anyone (ie if they thought it boring they wouldnt have got to that bit to see it)

It was a good race - but I wouldnt say that added much too it in all honesty because of the above, added a good ending though (better Brawn getting points than MW/Red Bull );)

From what Ross said after the race it seemed to indicate that wasnt possible, but maybe I read too much into it

I doubt very much the whole world was watching the race ;).

Lol, true, but it is the international feed, so anyone who was watching the race in a country where they werent showing there own stuff 10 seconds before the start of Q1 would have seen it!

Pics in HERE for those interested

Good news and bad news.

I assume reserve driver for next year. Means he can't race for another team?
If so, why the hell did he agree to that. Even when their was testing that would be a bad choice. Know with virtually no testing I'm gob smacked any decent driver would take that.

Well I wasn't expecting that! :D

James Allen says or hints that Fisi will do the last 5 races of 2009 for Ferrari then become their test driver from 2010 and Badoer leaves Ferrari to accommodate Fisi. Any other sources on this?

Thats pretty much correct. I cant see Ferrari just signing him up for the last 5 races then allowing him to leave to another team. Just makes sense to keep him as a test driver for next season.

Looking at it, its his dream come true and fair play to him.

Monza could be very interesting now :D

hes getting to the end of his career, test driver for ferrari sounds a nice cushy job; and for what a great way to go out driving one the best cars again.

Yeah. When I first heard of the idea of Fisi to Ferrari I thought he'd have to be test driver or something at Ferrari next season. Otherwise why sign for 5 races then be out of a job when Massa returns and Alonso joins or Kimi stays and Alonso joins.

Good for Fisi & at least now the no. 1 car will be competitive again. For him, its also a nice way to 'exit' the sport.
Quite romantic of the sport I suppose for an Italian to be in a Ferrari again. I'm guessing that Ivan Capelli was the last Italian Ferrari driver? Haven't Ferrari not used Italian drivers for ages because they thought they were too emotional? :D

I wonder what odds you can get on Liuzzi to win at monza then :D

Or Karun Chandok

note: neither of these are going to happen...
