I'd be willing to go up to around £1000 if you can suggest any major improvements - I want to be using this for watching Blu-Ray on and I want to be able to plug my Xbox into the screen too for gaming so I need the HDMI port on the monitor.

320GB drive will be fine for my needs, I understand that that's quite a good one?

Ditch that overclocked bundle and go for this £5 more but you get a Quad core thats basically the same speed at stock as that 720BE overclocked

i wud say ditch that antec 902 as i can c u r on budget and get CM dominator 690 or Antec 900 ,and put that money in AM3 DRR3 mobo and get this ram

I waited for a few days... what now? Should I just swap out the processor/motherboard with the i5 and low-end gigabyte 1156? What about a cooler, will this cheap 1156 board even be able to clock the i5 well?

I would still think waiting on the new GPUs is a good idea.
The i5's do seem a good way to go, not sure how they compare to the PIIs though. And coolers for the 1156 are pretty limited.

ATI/Nvidia and Intel big releases over the next 2 months, pretty important imho. That rig is sweet, although i am an Intel man, always go for them over AMD, especially when spending that much money.
