Pre-ordered this for Friday at a smidgen under £30 which isn't bad for a new game, I could have waited for it to drop in price but there's been a serious dry spell with regards to driving games recently and Forza 3 isn't for some time yet!

Anyone else looking forward to it?

I've not decided if it's this or NFS:Shift...

I played the Demo, and with the MS Wheel, it was actually quite a nice rewarding drive, still arcade, but a big step up from DiRT 1..

I thought that at first but tried the demo again and it felt better, the presentation is amazing it has to be said.

Really looking forward to it, loved the demo, it's a huge improvement over the first game.

I tried the demo, I'm not a massive racer fan, but it's definitely well presented but I don't think on a whole that the game captured my attention in the same way that GRID did, mainly because it's very similar to GRID.

When oh when are they going to stop this arcade crap and give us Colin McRae Rally 2.0 style handling back?!!?!?! :(

And this is why I shall never invest in a 'DIRT' game. Should be called 'CRAP' instead! :p

It's arcade but it's fun, consoles aren't about simulations anyway, they're about laid back gaming. If I want to play a sim, I fire up LFS on the PC.

To be fair there is nothing wrong with arcade physics when done well. The first DIRT was crap, the handling was just terrible. Not crap due to the game being arcade, just due to being......crap (handling wise).

DIRT 2 however is a massive improvement, sure it's still arcade, but it's good slidey arcade fun. Some other examples of 'good' arcade physics are Sega Rally, the Flatout series, Burnout..

I played the demo but i didn't really like it. I miss proper stage racing and car repairs etc. I will see what its like when it comes out.
