They're Eco drives though - the F3s won't be.

But if you go the other way, sooner or later you're going to run out of Fs... unless you go into negative numbers. Go up however, and you have a pretty much infinite amount of numbers.

I see your point, there is no non-confusing way of doing it... Still, i doubt they can make it as complex as Nvidia's complex naming scheme where they give the same card more than one name...

meh, I didn't mean to drag this thread off topic, I quite like Nvidia's cards, I just hate their naming scheme.

Bring on the F3's (along with the trumpets...).

Still nothing. Gotta be one of the longest paper launches in the storage sector for a while. There has not even been any reviews which just shows theres no drives shipping yet.

Err the F3's are out in loads of countries incl the US, there are plenty of benchmarks around and a few reviews.

I think they're selling the F3 as a performance model. If you have extra platters for 1.5Tb you'd lose performance so they sell the F2 model for storage.
