Derren Brown - outdone himself this time?

He is as good as he is because he understands the following:

He is Smart.

75% of the population is thick as custard.
 
So what is the interest?

he is not actually predicting the lottery numbers, so the title of this event is false anyway. If it is going to be some recording/delay trick then who is even going to bother watching :confused:

No, i honestly do not see the point of it. I know he is a clever man and is very good at illusions, stirring up publicity and creating a spectacle e.t.c.

However, if you have a brain and realise that he will not be actually predicting the lottery results, what possible interest could you have in this?

Honestly, i'm not bashing him and i'm sorry if i don't hold him in as higher regard as yourself but what interest would you have, knowing it's going to be some delay/recording trick?
 
I don't think he would have went through this only to say on Friday:

"Live TV is delayed by 5 seconds, and I had someone in my ear telling me the balls as they came out"

There's also numbers in that reverse advert he did, maybe he already has the balls picked.
 
If he had this "prediction" show on Tuesday night, and announced the numbers then instead of simultaneously with the draw show...I might possibly believe him and be more interested. But of course, he wouldnt do that.
 
I think you'd have to be pretty thick if you thought he could ACTUALLY predict the lottery results - do you not think he would either be very, very rich, or Camelot would have him killed?

Derren Brown is all about the show - 'The System' showed that...we all knew that he couldn't possibly have the perfect 'system' at winning at the horses, but the method he used was ingenious. There's obviously going to be some trickery involved on Wednesday, whatever the method...it's going to be great television and I for one am going to watch it.

Yeah, but obviously they can't do that because if he is really that good, everyone plays those numbers!

Also, to people saying "Well he will record x amount of answers, and they will play each one". Well, that's not really even possible in the amount of time each ball is drawn, you would also have to cut away from Derren, which I think obviously makes it look very faked. Where as if the camera is fixed to him, so we can see there are no edits then its a lot more genuine.

Ok...easy way around that.

Have his show 1 hour before the draw and announce the numbers then. That way people cant play the numbers and he proves that he actually has predicted them :D

But nooooooo...
 
Obviously he can't predict the lottery results but he can, and does, make very entertaining shows so I shall be watching.

I predict: 5, 7, 26, 29, 32, 47 - if I get this right then I am superior to derren :p
