3D coming to all PS3 Games in 2010

Really? Don't you remember the insane PS2 hype? That saddam hussein could use them to control missiles etc? Emotion engine? etc? :p

notice you dont link to any speciifics....

the emotion engine was what they decided to call it, whether its an accurate name is another matter, but even so, so what?

Official PSM had some crap tastic screenshots (And a DVD afaik) showing off the 'power' of the emotion engine.
Except it was clearly running on other hardware, facial features looked OTT Realistic in detail and movement for the generation.

@ Mr Latte, what you said makes some degree of sense, but all we have experience wise of this technology is its PC encarnation.
Enabling 3d on L4D makes the game pretty much un-playable on full GFX Niceness, as the average FPS Drops into mid to low 20's.
Surely the same side-effect would effect the PS3, since its doing the same thing.

I just posted a link showing why it probably wouldn't be doing the same thing.

Yes a monitor although it can display 3D perhaps does not have the internal hardware for the picture processing etc like HDTVs do....
On PC that you refer to I can only think that the PC or GPU etc is being used to process the 3D thus effecting the framerate.

A 3D HDTV will have the hardware within the TV this only require the software tool added to the PS3 so wont effect games on the PS3.

Does that make more sense of the situation?
