Which Call Of Duty?

The best cod I think are the ones you can get from the chippy down the road from me. Battered cod with a load of greasy chips is the perfect way to spend an evening.
 
WAW was just a horrid mismatch of games. It felt like there was no continuity. It was just a hash of stuff chucked together. I found it completley the reverse. I played CoD 4 and completed the single player and had great fun in general with it. I then played WAW thinking it would be more of the same, however, was vastly disappointed. It was, as I have already said, horrid.

MW on the other hand was superb. It felt like you were fighting for something. The online side, as well, is very good.

Ok! ;)

1) WAW brings a lot more extra play with single player, Co-op with friends, competative co-op
2) Nazi Zombies :):):)
3) Numerous FREE upgrades extra weapons, maps, perks, death cards...
4) The game is noticeably prettier.
5) Better single player campagn, story, better set piece's minus all the grenades :mad:
6) More realsitic violence
7) Vehicles in multiplayer if you like them.
8) Maps are larger prevent camping/ hence less camping online. However there are more smaller maps to.
9) Random spawn points prevent spawn camping/raping.
10) More competative online.
11) Weapon variation, (e.g. bolt action rifles, semi auto rifles, flame thrower, sawn off shottie :-) ) people all don't use the same weapon e.g. cod4 the majority use a ak47...
12) The dogs are better than the chopper lol.
13) Better mele combat, bayonets!
14) The maps in cod 4 are bland and boring.
15) Capture the flag.

I could go on for ever, but you only said 5. :)

People said the series never moved on but it so did, granted it went back to ww2, however, ww2 was a major part in our lives and you either like ww2 games or not.
 
Fish, I suggest you stay out of the world of COD, I mean atm I get some peace from you when I play those games :p

Seriosuly though if you are planning to get MW2, I'd buy WAW, for 1 it is less elitest than MW and for 2. MW2 + MW are basicly the same game (albeit updated) anyway.

In response to your later question, there are annoying kids in both games, you tend to find you get kicked (due to easy to use votekicker) if you are better than certain players more often in WAW, but that's bnecause MW doesn't have that votekick option. Modern Warfare has the issue that has affected Counterstrike, lots of pros, so you msy find it hard to get into the game in the first place.

World at War, much better then Modern Warfare.

Modern Warfare is good fun, but I find the world war II setting much much better.

in order

1. cod united offence
2. cod 1 (just cause no sprint)
3. modernn warfare
4. cod2
5. waw

after cod 1 and uo it became console island. cod 2 was a joke sniper shot missed you by a inch and it still kills you. mp44 single shot from across the map . cod mw just cod 2 with prettier graphics and modern warfare bolted on top. same ultra no aim low recoil firing. best game sinnce uo in series but not as good. then you have waw which does look better than all the others and i do like some of the things they tried to do to the game but i dont know why it just comes off as a wrong un :p

mw2 will be a mw experience which i think will be good but it aint gunna be no cod 1 or uo beater.
 
COD4 is probably the best out there now. Though in its day COD:UO was the best of the lot MP anyway. SP COD4 is really good and probably the best out of the series SP wise.

COD WaW MP is good but I get bored of it after about 30 minutes for some reason.
 
cant believe some people prefer WAW, the story line is appauling, the voice acting is ridiculous, the textures are wayyy too dense, its as of someone has threw up on my screen. dont get me started on MP.

RTCW > CoD4 MW

Looking forward to Modern Warfare 2 though, was a shame Infinity Ward seemed to dump MW so early in it's life, but I suppose it was to work on MW2.
 
only 2 i can think of ,the friends list intsead of puting in ip adresses you can just join a server your friend id in and co-op,well make that 3 because co-op zombies is a whole other thing,i hope they keep it for MW2

mw2 co op thingy is only two player also new waw map pack patch is out this week ! new zombie map looks a laugh

MW all the way, played through it a good few times, still not finished WAW i'm not far off finishing it but just cant be bothered.

I love COD and it's expansion pack. But i got board of yet another WW2 shooter and just stopped playing COD2 half way through.

But COD4 sounds good
 
MW was really good. Spent many hours playing it round at my mates whilst having a few tins! COD 1 was good aswell and also UO, I played quite a bit of them online. Actually MW was the only reason I bought a 360 back in 2007.

WAW was just pants though, truley awful. And so was COD 3.
