Based on 2 screenshots? Or do you know what the series is actually about?

It's one of the funniest series I've ever watched. Although I'm a musician so the story appeals to me quite a lot.

It was quite popular among the folks at my uni but then again allot of them are metal fans and the like so that aspect was lost on me tbh. I couldn't stand it personally, felt like it was working along the same lines as Cromartie and Excel Saga in terms of humour. Each to their own though.

@robgmun TGWLTT is an awesome film, im eagerly awaiting Summer Wars which is airing in Japanese Cinemas at the moment by the same director. It's had great reviews so far :).

Not just based on the two screenshots, and I have been a musician too .... ;)

Just finished watching The Girl Who Lept Through Time. Superb superb superb!!!!!!!!

Yes, absolutely. Kawaranai Mono by Hanako Oku in particular was an excellent insert song and features on my anime commute playlist on my ipod.
I would like to read the original novel if it is ever released in English.

It's just the why she rolls into a scene after leaping had me in stitches, especially the karaoke bit :D

IVe got to say ive seen allot of scifi films/tv shows dealing with the idea of 'it could have been like this or like that' and the choices involved but i think TGWLTT pulls the whole premise off really well with the way the movie plays out.

New Higurashi Rei episode for those interested - the final of the OVA unfortunately. Rena is unbelievably cute :D I just hope they make more episodes in the near future as very few series have the ability to hook you in like this one does.

Yes, in general the story works very, very well ... although there is at least one why-the-****-didn't-she-do-that plot hole in it, (I won't say what as it would be a spoiler)

I think it was because she was a navie girl and using her ability without thinking. Just for fun really. If she was using her ability properly and responsibly then half the nasty things in the film wouldn't have happened

What I'm thinking of wouldn't have even needed her to use her ability to do. After all once she knew about what the other character wanted she knew where that thing was and hence could have taken him to it there and then.

This really, I mean she spends the first hour or so of having her powers eating pudding.

I would quote Uncle Ben but I think it's been done enough.

Watched the final episode of Shangri-la via Crunchyroll today.

WTF?

I still have no idea why/what happened apart from apparently the world was saved. It started off half decent then the plot just went all over the place. I honestly think Evangelion is more together plot wise than Shangri-la and thats saying something lol.

Gasaraki an older anime?!?!?! :p

Actually you're scarily right, it's ten years old now
As you say it's got a nice twist on the mecha theme in two ways ;)

I'm currently watching You're Under Arrest TV, prompted in part by the announcement of the second series finally getting licensed (although sub only - I would have loved the dub cast back although given how long it's been, and the state of the market it would have required a miracle), and really enjoying it :)
Next up may well be Nadesico, or Love Hina as i've had an itch to watch both of them again recently.

ive been re-watching saint seiya (aka knights of the zodiac) recently. its awesome lots of fighting is always good. dragonball kai is also great, cutting out all the nonsense from the original :)

huh? ... I've seen up to epsiode 9 so far and thought it was reasonably straight forward so far ....

... great minds ... I'm currently on disk 11 of YUA TV for the same reason :) .... the animation is a little ropey at times once you are in the series itself but it more than makes up for it by its general levels of awesomeness regarding characters and plots. Also me <3 Miyuki :D

I watched Nadesico a few weeks ago from my backlog and found it pretty good. I did consider rewatching Love Hina to after YUA but at the moment I'm leaning more towards rewatching Last Exile.

Watching or rather re watching Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C because I havn't done in a while.

Such a good anime, keep saying I should get around to reading the manga at some point but never really get around to it.

Bakemonogatari has taken a rather boring turn the past 2 weeks, the last 2 episodes were alsmost annoying, mainly because of the new character for the "mini arc" being an annoying little crying girl of the "Onii Chan" at the end of every damn sentance variety which seriousely grinds at the inside of my skull.

That and lack of characters in both episodes and very little exploration of the "odity" really made them pretty dull, of course the art style and writing are good but it was all face and no substance.

Just hoping the next arc makes up for it, it's the last officaly broadcast arc as well with the final 3 episodes being shown on the official website for anyone interested.
