My mate just bought a MAC

I think spending £1400 on a PC or a Mac just for WoW is ridiculous, but then surely he will be using other software that will make it worthwhile?

Anyway, I won't enter a Mac vs PC debate as I use both but people who talk about starbucks etc, well, I like coffee so I'm happy to be associated with that stereo type :D

Take my hand and repeat after me - "its just coloured plastic Steve Jobs doesnt care what i think"

Come now cornish laddy - we'll get through this together :)

:D

I'm not a zealot. My computer case isn't made of coloured plastic, how cheap! :p

And I'm not Cornish!

Steve Jobs is God! Do not use his name in vain!

(Tempted to put a smiley on the end to show that i'm joking)

Not choosing sides on this.

Just a thought but if Apple are making so much money on similar parts and components relative to their PC products. It would be very easy for other manufacturers to copy and make similar looking products with a similar feel of quality and make just as much profit and grab a chunk of Apples market share.

I only take a guess to why they havent is due to the fact it would increase the cost of their products to similar levels of Apple computers. Or they cant make the same product for the same price for a profit which is acceptable.

Some people just love the look of them, prefer the way they navigate/operate and these factors can be a huge selling point for a lot of people.

He shouldn't be chastised for his purchased any more than someone who goes out and buys a £30k car to drive to work.

"Oh my god, he went and spent £30k on a nice sports car to drive to work. He could have purchased one that only cost £8k."

;)

I really dislike fanboys of any type, apple[insert product] users tend to in my experience have the worst of them with non sequitur statements, topped with no understanding of what they are saying compared to comparable products on the market.

Not saying they are all bad but people need to learn to take a step back, arguing it has a better OS/intuitive OS is actually wrong, it's subjective to the user and for me that case is backed by the fact I've never used a MAC OS and the day I did it was very counter intuitive.

Still didn't mean it could have been a good OS, so I don't bash either, just the stupid users.
