This time you have AMD it won't be. Last time i had AMD was running ME, so i don't think that's comparable. But AMD processors are a lot better than they used to be, surpassing even Intel in some respects.

my plan has changed a little.
i already got antec sonata and 900, sonata is being unused, so i will transfer all hardware from 900 to sonata and use it as download box and file server. will use 900 case for new system. i will use the DVD-RW from 900 instead.
how about this spec?
Go with this but change the case to a Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-101-AN&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat= works out £6 more but well worth it!!!!!!!!!!!
Nah, i much prefer the NZXT Beta...
Here is my i5 spec:
Its a bit over budget, but it is worth it. If you need to get it down to £750 then switch to an AMD X3 720BE or X4 955 AM3 system (i would be happy to spec you one up). I suggest sticking with the GPU I chose, have a look at this review (Green Bar). It seems to give the GTX285 a kicking.
Oh, the monitor I chose is well worth the premium. Being an eIPS panel and all.
Micro-ATXYou do realise that, that mobo you have selected here, is a Micro-ITX one yes?
how about this one? my budget is up to £750
i would like to have VT(virturalization Technology) supported as i use vmware a lot
