The Official Football Manager 2010 Thread

Want a way of getting this game cheaply?

Try your nearest non-league club's club shop (ie Blue Square Premier/North/South or lower) - they often (well, sometimes) get stock of the Football Manager games in to sell and you can get them for as little as £10 depending on the club :-)

I personally play a 4-2-2-2(2 MC, AML+AMR, 2 ST) consistently, it seems to work very well for me.

You are a legend :) You not only make me feel crappy about pre ordering something very expensive :p then you show me how to cancel it and get it cheaper. :D

I use that 4-2-2-2 formation too. I've also had a lot of success with 4-3-3 (both the DMC-MC-MC-AML-AMR-ST and MC-MC-MC-FC-ST-FC variations). I haven't noticed any real disadvantages with any of these over playing 4-4-2 :confused:
 
That is really still 4-4-2 imo, just with advanced wingers. I would say 4-2-2-2 is either 2 purely holding midfielders with 2 in front or 2 central midfielders with 2 central attacking midfielders ahead of them.
 
Right ladies and Sham, where can I purchase this fine game for about £20?

I got a refund from steam (Y) after many emails ;)
