Operation Flashpoint 2-Dragon Rising.

Am I to assume that if the pre-order codes are leaked onto the net (which I am sure they would be), that they could be entered into EVERY copy of OFP2DR?

I read a quote somewhere from a codemasters dev saying that all the aditional missions are present on all the discs, so presumably once they are leaked you'll be able to unlock all missions even if you didn't buy from a special pre-order shop.

It can't be that similar to ARMA 2 if it's by a completely different developer.

That's like saying "Doom was crap, I'm not buying Unreal until I see a review!"

How is this likely to fair on a e8200, 8800 GT and 4gb of ram under vista 64?

I'm interested to see if it can meet me halfway. Arma2 was too involved.

I liked ARMA2 and it actually ran ok for me on my modest wee system. That said, the missions ( SP ) were bugged to hell and it was a frustrating experience to say the least.

So I'm quite looking forward to giving OFP:DR a go.

Is it true that multiplayer is p2p no servers.

yes from what i have seen and heard which is a MASSIVE FAIL!!

http://community.codemasters.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5670533&postcount=395

I emailed codemasters (as I noticed someone else did in this thread or another on the forums).

I specifically asked about hosting multiplayer games for the PC on a dedicated server or whether it would be peer to peer. this is their answer:

Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising does not support dedicated servers unfortunately. The game, at launch will be peer to peer only.

so this means I can take down the threads on our clan website saying we would start OFP as part of our clan and saves me buying the game as I'm only interested in multiplayer - a shame because quite a few people are buying the game.

Just been reading that thread on their forums, I'm absolutely gutted if this is true. I mean what were they thinking really.
How is this going to run 16v16 on p2p  and without dedi servers how can this game be played competitivly and how can clans have an online presense. :o

Seems that CM are reluctant to post any information on this :(
