The Sith are coming ...

Bah! Really annoys me when the company swears black and blue that they're not bringing the game no PC only to do an about-face several months later...

As a fan of the series I made myself play through the sub-par PS2 version. I'm not forking out for another rehash of the same story...

This is rumoured to be coming on Dec 17th (pretty late in the day) so look out for it then or put it on your xmas list's as even though its not quite as good as Jedi Outcast gameplay wise you can still have a lot of fun with the force powers & physics :D

Some of the levels look incredible :D and the John Williams music & sound effects are very strong with lots of deep bass all of this contributes towards a strong Star Wars atmosphere.

Even though I bought this on 360 + the 2 DLC on 360 still buying on PC as the technical experience will be much better and it includes all 3 DLC. The much touted physics are actually not much of the gameplay at all just a case of severe overhype as you only use them to smash doors or knock enemies off ledges.

I just want a new jedi knight dammit. Played the demo of the force unleashed on the ps3 and as most of you have said, it has nothing on the jedi knight series.

I don't get that, from the demo I thought it was going to be a lot like Jedi Knight. Retail was a different affair mind.

Only hope is that modders will be able to recreate Dark Forces II under the TFU engine.

Strange that it's coming out on PC when LucasArts made a big song and dance originally about why it couldn't exist on the PC....

the physics where no where near the level they hyped the hell out of in the "demo" videos of thier engine before they released it :/

it won't be more demanding than crysis, if it is i will eat my hat (and post pics as evidence)!

If its more demanding than, any other bog standard port, i'd be surprised. Its a very basic game tbh, without a huge number of enemies at any one time and fairly basic levels.

So bored with the song and dance people make to convince console owners they have the most powerful devices in the world.

This, really. There's a very good reason PC enthusiasts are known to be elitist, and it's not because they're jealous of the awesome power of a 3 year old game console.

Yeah I noticed that too.

If you actually spend time slowly moving troopers around when you've gripped one you do occasionally find they grab onto eachothers legs, arms, etc but with the game being all about throwing things into other things hard you rarely if ever actually get to see it in action.

I played most of the way through the game on 360, decent story, well told, but the game mechanics are not a patch on JK series. I loved the lightsaber combat, proper duels!

Played this on 360. Good presentation and story but the combat/controls etc just feel awkward, and as for the force powers....Psi-Ops on previous-gen consoles did a better job of physics-based combat & destruction 4 years earlier.

I completed this on the ps3, really boring game. It could have been set in carebare land with sketches from the original star wars and you wouldnt know the difference.

Rented on PS3. Glad i did as i quite enjoyed it. Glad i didn't buy it though as i was able to complete it in two nights. Fantastic rental though! Not a patch on JK series (loved those) but still good.
