nope, have you?![]()
Yes.
as the phaeton was competition to the S class, i suspect it might be better than an E..

BMW 535 is awesome.
BMW 535 is awesome.
I love the way they're selling themselves out to the fleet market, along with BMW and Audi, and Jag.Talking of which, I love the BlueEFFICIENCY bit of the Mercedes website now that compares their cars to everybody else's.

Basically they lose on everything vs equivalent BMW models except initial purchase price (which could be because the BMW has more equipment as standard?).
On the quality of the diesel engine alone I would go for the Beemer.
They seem to be a work of art.
As for Jags, I am quite tempted to get a 2l diesel X Type. A 53 plate one can be bought for about 6k.
I used to hate Jags as well. I guess age is creeping upon me.
Have you even driven one with the new 3.0 Diesel engine in it?? Its easily on par with the x35d or x30d engines in the BMW if not better.
Considering BMW haven't been in the diesel business that long, they have it mastered it seems.
Who makes the engine for the Jag btw ? Is it Jag or do they source it out ?
