Well the Section23(/ADV/etc) solicitations for December are out .... highlights include:
- Clannad After Story Part 2 (hopefully it'll ship a month early like Part 1)
- To Love Ru Part 1
- Ghost Hound Part 2
So for me that's a yes, a maybe and a no. On the downside I'm now not going to get my Funi release of Bamboo Blade Pt 1 and Spice and Wolf until mid-Jan as I've combined their order with Bamboo Blade Pt 2 (given the postal services track record I didn't really want them to ship on 22/12 anyway
)
My copy of the ToHeart2 Adplus OVA 2 is on it's way from Rainforest JP at the moment
Regarding the recommendations ... hmmm, difficult without knowing what sort of genres you want ... I'd echo the previous recommendations for:
Full Metal Panic
Eureka Seven
Last Exile
Gurren Lagann
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex (series 1 & 2)
and add into the mix ...

Thats why I watch it with subs, the american voice actor for renton looks and acts like a complete idiot (seen him in an anime thing on vuze)
Forgot about them, could add in claymore and black lagoon.
There are so many anime's we could suggest, I'd say that between the main people on here we've probably seen a good 75% of the decent anime out there
.Eureka's voice isn't much better.
I think the only good part of the dub is when Holland says "As it stands we have NO money...", not sure why but it just cracks me up, his voice actor is also quite good though.
A few other suggestions:
Full Metal Alchemist
Bakemonogatari (+1 because it's awesome)
Darker Than Black
FLCL (It's completely insane and very Marmite)
+1 for The Girl Who Leapt Through Time as well, great movie.

Looks like most of the anime I wanted to see this season is on crunchyroll which is great from a legal standpoint, but not so great from a viewing perspective due to the use of god damn flash video, couldn't they have used silverlight or something!.
It's ridiculous I can watch a 720p mkv with ease on my system (athlon x2) yet I max out watching a damned flash video which is in essence a lower bitrate stream!
Plus for whatever reason fullscreen flash doesn't register as the system being in use meaning I have to wiggle my mouse or adjust my screensaver
Anyone on here still using crunchyroll know if you can still download a video to the pc or not if you sign up (I haven't bothered yet as it only gains me earlier viewing and 720p which my sytem doesn't like as mentioned above)?

Not sure you can any more, which series are you interested in and I'll take a look on my account to see if there are any downloads available.

Yeah I have to say that Flash can be a pain in the arse on my system as well. Even standard Youtube videos can to take up so much CPU power and it's very annoying when the video freezes when switching between full-screen mode at times. Adobe really needs to get in gear and produce an efficient version.

asura cryin 2 will do, if its on that then I would think it will be on the others (fairy tail, eyes 11, haruka 2).
I know I could probably download the flv via a 'youtube' downloader but its still in flash

Looking at the currently available episode for both Asura Cryin 2 and Fairy Tail I don't see any option to download the episodes, just to stream them. In fact there's no option to download the episodes for Asura Cryin season 1 either.

I couldn't possibly comment on that but the specific question was whether they could be legally be downloaded via an option on Crunchyroll's site.
Cheers memyselfandi, will see how the first asura cryin 2 episode looks tomorrow/tonight and then decide if its worth upping to the subscription etc.
Phatjayunoi, I'm fully aware of the options to gain access to the epsides but you might find a lot of the fan groups are now not bothering with anime shown on the likes of crunchyroll as its a waste of effort and it saves hassle from grumpy tv people. Plus by using the likes of crunchyroll it supports the anime companies

Actually you'll find that the fickle nature of Fansub groups staff numbers means taking on a project of near indefinite length is not worth undertaking. Anything decent and popular enough will have 5 or 6 groups in the beginning.
So can anyone recommend me a new amine?

Anyone watched the first episode of Nyan Koi?
This is some funny stuff, the comedy has the same vibe that Seto no Hanayome did. Then there is also Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch) voicing one of the cats, it is just hilarious.

Yeah so far I've watched the first episodes of
kampfer - how can I put it, nice idea (might still work) but then they put in a shy librarian who basically only understands the sexual innuendo versions of a sentence.
nyan koi - has potential
haruka 2 - seemed to lack something the first series had
sacred blacksmith - this could turn out either good or bad, I liked the first episode though, had a kind of claymore/fate stay night feel to it in my opinion.
armed librarians - completely random will see what episode 2 is like
seitokai no ichizon - not my cup of tea, slice of life with references to every single other anime out there

I would point out that it's a bit early to right off an entire season when not everything has even started airing yet .... and for things that have you should know by now that some series take a 2 or 3 episodes to really get going ...
Oh I know that and I usually watch atleast 2 episodes before completely dismissing a series (unless its queens blade which didn't even make it to 1 episode ). But I also know that unless I'm like waiting impatiently for the next episode then it's not a must see series if you get what I mean, I'll still watch it but probably not as quickly sort of thing.
