Gfx seem incredibly poor, I find it a little funny Durzel said the previous shot was unfair, and has his own, at night where 90% of the crappy tree's, terraine and anything else, are hidden behind shadows
On max settings it does look incredibly poor, the orders system is needlessly clunky and unoptimised and the not closing after a command is issued is almost unforgiveably stupid. The FOV does feel weird, you feel very very low, and the gun seems absurdly large in comparison to how short your character must be. The sights seem, weird, overly large red dot or on a sniper, a massive triangle, both of which aren't really a close indicator of where your bullet will end up. Enemy's other than within a few feet, look like distant sprites, for which the hitbox/aiming seems majorly off.
While defending an extraction point, enemies got out of their trucks, ran behind heavy foilage and continued to pepper the wall I was crouching behind with fire, through the tree's/heavy bushes with no way to see me. I couldn't remotely tell where they were, and for some unknowing reason with their line of sight through the foilage advantage, they ran UP a hill into clear terraine where they were promptly shot at range with multiple rounds because the aiming is still attrocious.
I then decided, screw the helicopter, lets drive this ridiculous car over to the secondary objective, the cars which handle like cars from a game a decade ago, which I drove down a steep hill, hitting every rock on the way with no consequence, finally smashing at the bottom, doing a triple flip , in an open top car with no protection, to find myself, the car and team completely unhurt.
Shockingly poor on every single level from what I can tell, such a fantastic game I didn't bother finishing that FIRST mission, and find a lack of motivation to go back, always a sign of a fantastic game.
I will go back, I will play more eventually but I really can't see my opinion changing, nor wishing I had my £18 back
Oh, as for bringing up the graphics settings, can anyone honestly tell me theres a real difference between medium and high textures? I played the start of the 1st level on medium, later on I played again on high, I couldn't see a spec of difference at all.
Almost every good screen shot has been all about the lighting, and the one thing that seems to make the lighting look so good, is that uber brightness, or nighttime shots, seem to hide the other terrible graphics, making a tree a silhouette, or simple a distant dark blur(thats understandle, rather than a distant blur you should be able to see but can't, unexplainably).
