Going for walk at night?

Yes I do it very often here in Newquay, I love walking across the cliff tops in the dead of the night hearing the sea breaking on the rocks below, crystal clear sky, stars sparkling in the sky, the light from the moon guiding my foot steps, and the crisp clean sea air that fills your lungs on every breath and makes you feel revitalised and good to be alive, I love the beauty and peacefulness of the night.

Your a lucky man. I'd love to live by the sea and so that!

i always go for a walk at night, i enjoy the peace and quiet and looking at landmarks at night also as i like the different look they take on.

i lived in e16 for 4 years and e14 for a year, now living in Sydney.

I usually walk about 2-4 miles a night or less if i walked to work/home that day but i wouldnt stop doing it because i would be afraid of being attacked, i walked home from work from bank to canary wharf through one of the most deprived boroughs in London and was never botherd by anyone. i am usually a bit more cautious if wearing my ipod or walking with a large sum of money just in case but i do that during the day.

man up, get out there!

having said all the above walking home 6km from work to home in sydney i have never felt safer walking around, i somtimes had a gulp moment when seeing 6 lads walking towards you with hoods up in east london but dont get any of that here.

dude

It depends where you live I suppose, around where i live we don't get much trouble if there is any it is caused by kids betwen 10-17. I would like to see them try.

But I don't do it really, I don't go anywhere without my car. :D

Seriously, you can't leave your own homes without the fear of being attacked? What sort of sad state of affairs is that?
*shrug* I live in M14 which has very similar stats, worse for some, better for others, and with a modicum of common sense it's perfectly safe at all hours, although I don't like my gf walking home on her own.

Lucky man.

I do walk quite a lot at night, no real problems when I do.

Often walk around Brixton and SE London without so much the slightest worry in my mind.

I even walk through the woods in Dulwich (easiest way to get home) and I've never even had the faintest "fear". But I don't scare easily and am fairly streetwise so maybe that's why.

I really doubt it's that bad. London has a bad "rep" but it's just not that bad. I only know a couple of people (friends) who have been mugged in London, but then again they are about as streetwise as the "I hate *******" seen in Die Hard 3 - go figure.

Could be that you look like a slightly better looking version of Jason Statham, and everyone that's seen "crank" or "crank II" or any of his films know he's 'ard.

I was out walking in manchester one night on my own (bit silly)... I turned a corner and found myself surrounded by "hoodies"... thinking my time was over on this earth one of them said to me "hiya" and said my name and the group walked off... I have no idea who they were!

I used to take walks around Plymouth at around 12am-4am when I was a student at the university there. There's a satisfaction derived from doing this. I'm not sure if it's the complete peace in solitude, or the tranquillity of the city at night, or perhaps a combination of both.

I'd often take my SLR and get some great shots of the coast at that time of the morning.

I have no problem going for a late night stroll round wolves with my mp3 player on, I find it very relaxing and I've never had any problems

LOL! He actually used to train at my gym believe it or not. Not as big in person as he looks on the silver screen though  Pretty decent bloke. Though I'm catching up with him in terms of being folically challenged.
