27, me, mp4 and agnes (along with numerous other people) all went and got it for £27 last night

Really having bother joining Multiplayer games, either Host is Unreachable or just failed. Is there a few problems at the moment or can i yet again stick the blame onto AOL?

a lot of us seem to be getting it Pyro.

I haven't been able to join a game yet. It's strange though because if I create a game random people seem to be able to join okay.

It's a shame because I was looking forward to the multiplayer the most. If any one has this game any want's to try and play coop add me! Gamertag is Hencore.

Went to the supermarket after work. Sold out. Oh well, I'll wait a few weeks and I'm sure it'll be down to around that price or less in no time.

Ah i see, im in two minds if i should change my internet soon. It wouldnt have suprised me if AOL was causing that problem. Thanks for clearing that up Hencore.

I will hang around tonight if it starts to clear up (as long as my ping keeps down

)

I'm on the PS3 version and on BT internet, didn't have any problems connecting to games the other night.

Well im really enjoying this, they've definitely captured the essence of the first game.

Ive taken so long to do the first mission its now pitch black

I nearly got in the choppa and flew away before doing the secondary objectives.

Woot, just finished mission 7, about to start 8... but still no sniper mission! WHY!!!!!!!! I WANT TO SNIPE! lol

God damn it the island really let me down this time. Order posted yesterday so I'm guessing I'm wishful thinking it will arrive tomorrow (prob more like mon or tues). Has anyone ever returned an unopened product with them? Is it straight forward? I might have to go ahead and just get this in town tomorrow.

Argh, mission 2!! Got past the sunburn missile launcher then ended practically on top of the PLA, fighting about 50metres from the enemy... everytime :/ loving the game tho!!

orders from online retailers can be returned within 7 days no matter what (well within reason).

Yeah I just wondered what the process was. I just looked at the site and it says instructions will be given once you submit the request to return it.

Just finished mission 8. By far the best mission in the game for me so far

Fantastic sense of fear and pressure. Specially as I like to make sure both primary and secondary objectives are done otherwise i restart mission

seems every one on xbox is loving it but every one on pc aint.

ok who here plays arma 2 on pc and ofp 2 on xbox if no one then thats why cus pc peeps are saying we have to much to compare as i play arma 2 al the time i love it tbh oh and ofp 1 back in the days.

Think this is too hard for me, I can't even get to the SAM sites on the first mission (I want to get the chopper achievement).

I've no idea what orders to issue or anything. Think I'm doing really well then my team just get killed.

Operation Flashpoint was never this hard :/

I struggled the first few missions, you just have to use trial and error, play through on normal first to get used to the game.

Some things that I stick to which keep me safe are as follows.

When ever advancing forward to an objective/waypoint, get your map out, look around for high ground, take that route instead so you always have the upper hand.

When ever an enemy shows up on your radar at the top of your screen (red triangle), whip your map out to see how far they are.

As for squad, always have them doing the following when advancing on an enemy: Vee formation, Combat spread, Return fire...

This way, they won't shoot allowing you as the leader to get into position and fire first or they fire back the moment you get spotted.

Do NOT sit in the same position, if you sat long enough to empty a clip, you are lucky to be alive... several shots, move to a better position...

don't bother ordering your squad to do something unless its to assault a building, fast move to extraction or heal you/team mates. They are useless at flanking. Do it your self.

Don't bother will fully auto fire (press right on d-pad to change fire rate)... Have single fire. Only auto when within 50m or sneaking up.

crouch and sprint when near enemy (within 400m) otherwise they will spot you a lot quicker.

Stick to tree lines and bushes... Stay clear of open ground.

When you see a building you need to take ahead... you guessed it, look at possible options of going round it then attacking from the back at it's weakest point.

Again, trial and error.
