HTC Hero, coming July on Orange and T-Mobile, makes me want!

Sorted the problem, had to go to applications - manage and clear data then tried again and worked, but still once I link the contact with facebook and tick add photo/bday its not showing a picture.

Thought I had all my contacts synced with google. Looks like they haven't and ive lost all 150 of them. It jsut won't let me import from my Sim. Very annoyed.
 
looking at car chargers at the mo.

i noticed that the Mains charger is 5v 1A. I want a nice little car charger (not one with a massive stupid plug on it) but they all seem to be 700mA. How much power does the hero need when charging (i've already popped my girlfriends creative zen charger which was only rated at 500mA..)
 
Ok, another problem, my Hero won't sync anymore, it sucessfully did it once with Outlook but it just keeps saying disconnected now... Reinstalled lasted HTC Sync, USB Debugging it ticked on phone, tried mounting to USB Mass Sotrage support etc!

Gah sorted it! Must google for longer next time! Battery pull for 10-15 seconds sorted it... o_O

Anyone else having problems with the alarm on their Hero, my and the Mrs both have a Hero well mines a G2, and we both have days where the alarm doesn't go off. Was nearly late for work this morning because of this, she was late the other day.

Just wonder if anyone else has noticed this?
 
I'be used the alarm several times without issue. Not used it everyday though.

Edit: as you can see the only issue icm having is fat fingers :)

Hey guys,

Should be taking receipt of my Orange Hero tomorrow morning, therefore is it possible to get a quick list of things I should do and the apps I should look to get first to get the most of of the phone?

If you're running a task manager/killer application make sure to put the clock application on the ignored list of applications. As if its not running the alarm won't go off.

Mybackup is also really good, backs up apps, settings etc as well! :)
 
I've been using Modaco for a while it's very very good. Nice and easy to install as well providing you haven't already done the official update (Just make sure you're following the instructions exactly and do a backup) definitely worthwhile.
 
Nope, just hoping Orange can do me a decent deal shotly. Im due a new mobile on 22nd October and want oneof these. Does anyone have any idea whether I could get a free one out of them? So far my contract is 600 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet. When you get a phone upgrade can you keep the same contract as you had before as they dont offer any unlimited internet packages for £35 any more.

You should be able to get that easily.

I'm on 400mins, Unlimited Texts, Unlimited Net (500MB) for £25pm and paid £15 for the handset. £30 on an upgrade should get you everything you have and a free handset.

Give the retentions dept a call, phone 150, say you want to leave, what deals can they give you on the Hero with your specified mins etc. :)
