I would point out that it's a bit early to right off an entire season when not everything has even started airing yet .... and for things that have you should know by now that some series take a 2 or 3 episodes to really get going ...

That's a fair enough point but you can get a fairly good grasp from the first ep.

Sacred blacksmith i tried to watch last night but i was skipping it forward by the end. It's not my cup of tea. (Has the power to crack a sword but bounce harmlessly of a breastplate?)

Re-watched the first season actually not so long ago ... I'll probably take a look at this too when I have the chance ...

Currently have just finished watching the second ToHeart2 Adplus OVA (mmmm special limited edition with pillow cover) ... reasonable episode although still not enough Tama-oneechan; I have found the adplus episodes to be weeker than the previous OVAs though (and in this case having an episode covering the run up to a swimsuit contest and then not show the contest is just wrong :()

Other than that ... I'm rewatching DearS and I'm about a third of the way through The Story of Saienkoku season 2 ...

I'll watch haruka too but I still feel that the first episode was just lacking a little of what the first series had but it was the first episode after all :)

I watched nyan koi second episode and I think I will be sticking with it for atleast a little while.

Also seen:
a certain scientific railgun - not sure on this yet
darker than black - gemini of the meteor - not sure on this either as I wasn't overly impressed by the original series but it does seem slightly different
asura cryin series 2 seems like its following the last series but more of the lovey dovey aspects, its also fleshed out the back story
sora no otoshimono (heavens list property) - seems like it could be another chobits but maybe with a bit of harem. I like the idea but I hate the male character, he's like beavis and butthead!
11 eyes - this seems like it could be very good if it plays out well, got a kurokami meets shana vibe.
letter bee - bit of a slow start but it does have lelouch (code geass) in it :p

Just waiting on kiddy girl (although I've still got about 6 episodes of kiddy grade to finish), fairy tail and musketeers :)

I thought it was okay. At least Karin gets some more screentime in the OVA's this time as she was a very underrated character, only appearing at the ends in the family restuarant. Same goes for Yuki in which Another Days Episode 2 just wasn't enough. Shame they didn't have a dedicated episode for Milfa/Harumi or even attempted the Ruuko/Lucy Maria Misora & Nanako scenario. I mean it's such a tease with many major secondary characters in the ending credits.

They could do with another series instead of just this 2 or 3 OVAs a year ... there's way to many characters who need to be dealt with :)

Thats what I thought as well. They should have just adapted Another Days into a second series or something. I'm guessing maybe it's budget concerns hence the OVAs or dealing with other projects like the recent Tears to Tiara, but it would be great if they did.

Would be nice if Nozomi would license some more of the ToHeart/ToHeart2 franchise for proper R1 release. I have their release of the original series but I've had to go to R2(j) for the rest.

Probably going to regret it for the rest of my life but for what its worth I just finished watching "Nana"..

So far I am yet to figure out exactly why I saw this series through to the end of it's 47 episodes, I think I may have just been after a bit of drama that I crave occasionly which the series has in abundance, the last anime of this kind I watched was "True Tears", a seriesi with truly interesting and believable drama that unfortunatly managed to, in the very last god damn episode, **** all over itself with the single most dissapointing and utterly pointless story conclusion I have ever seen, to the point where I think the writer was in fact just out to **** people off.

It's strange, it really isnt the kind of thing I would usualy watch but I found myself enjoying it, call it a guilty pleasure but I actualy found the characters interesting if mind numbingly annoying as they made one bad decision after the other and ended up with completely the wrong people, ruined each others lives and generaly made fools of themselves.

Have to admit though that the ending was a bit of a slap in the face, it made no sense gave no closure and came out of nowhere, mayeb it's because its only part of the manga but it felts severely forced.

Hmmm .... not seen any of the Nana anime; although I have read the first couple of volumes of the manga. The manga didn't really impress me enough to consider looking at the anime ....

I'm not really suprised, I think the only reason I got passed episode 5 is blind stuborness and the fact I was ill and had nothing better to do.

I never bothered with the Nana anime series for some reason, though I did watched the first live-action film.

Also I just can't believe that Sora no Manimani recently finished. It is such a wonderful series with cute happy characters, and the Astronomy is just so beautiful and romantic. Makes me want to whip out my telescope that I haven't used in over 10 years and just go out and enjoy the night sky......and then catch a flu. :D

On my to finish list only got as far as Ep 30 ish i think(Loved the first film so started on the series only to take a break, that was about 2 years ago)
Must get around to seeing the second film
Anyone know if watching the second film will spoil the rest of the anime series?

Haven't taken a look at Sora no Manimani ... it's in the 'to watch' list though :) ... as for the telescope ... never could do visual astronomy due to poor eyesight .... and to avoid flu, how about hooking up a ccd of some form and then view from somewhere warmer :)

edit: Finished watching DearS again :) ... now need to find something else to watch tomorrow evening (on DVD)

Yes Chobits is better than DearS, although DearS is still and ok series ... although I did find the manga for Chobits better than the anime.

Working from home today ;) .... so ....

Finished the second series of Story of Saiunkoku which was good .... although it really needs a third season now to finish off the various plots.

Also tried a few things from this season;
Nyan Koi - has possibilities, quite amusing.
Kimi ni Todoke - interesting so far, a bit different
Seitokai no Ichizon - well I found it quite amusing, but whether it will be able to maintain this given the limited scenario is another question
Yumerio Patissiere - ok, it's an anime about cake (and seems to likely to lean towards Snow Fairy Sugar) ... mmm ... cake .....

Watched the second half of Kannagi earlier which was quite good, (sits nicely with the first half in the R3TW art box too). Also about half way through Eureka 7 so far.

Other than that ... watched a wide range of single episodes from various series, old and new (looking at the WDTV units so borrowed one off a colleague at work so checked a few things for compatibility).

Also spent a large part of the morning dusting figures and sorting out manga (which was forming a large pile in the middle of the bed in the spare room where it been read and not put back on the shelves).
