I was going to get a Kinsgton 64Gb SSD to put my OS on for £92. But im wondering if i should get the Crucial instead for its faster write speeds. But is it worth the extra £38? If it had stayed at £115 then yes i would have gone for it but now the difference is enough to make me wonder if its worth it.

The main issue in that thread seems to be the stuttering thing, which according to reviews ive read, these kingstons dont suffer from.

Well ain the end the decision was made for me as my wife had some cash off me for kids shoes. I decided to get the Kingston and so far im very pleased with it.

They are a JMicron controller but Kingston seem to have been able to sort out the issues with older drives. :)

That's good news if they have, hopefully OCZ update their firmware for their old Core drives and I can flash it and have a semi decent second SSD next to my Crucial.

All that said, I'd still pay the extra couple of quid and go for the Crucial drives (bugger the kids! :p). They're much faster from benchmarks anyway.

Meat Loaf, it'd be interesting if you could post some benchmarks from your Kingston drives just to see how quick they actually are.
