yeah i checked sword still stuck. Doesnt look pure wt like before. Guess i could revive and wait for a BP attack :D oh btw Edz do u where i can get a miracle catalyst?

Bummer, there are at least two talisman of gods that I remember. One is definately in 4-1 and I'm fairly sure there is also one in 5-1 either near the beginning or with the magic robes about half way through the level.

Alternatively just aim to get the talisman of beasts as it casts both magic & miracles and gives both a decent boost with no penalties :)

The talisman of beasts can be obtained from BP Scivir in 2-2 or the metrophiles (or whatever her name is) side quest.

As for the Makoto sword I may well have that on my level 100 soldier, so if you can get to level 90+ I'll be happy to pass it on :)
 
Ive found flamelurker very easy the last 3 times ive beaten him... once even with a thief type character using magic arrows... he gets stuck in so many places its just too easy to pick him off with arrows or magic... never tried a melee tactic on him as he just seems to be too fast... have fire res and water veil would probably be key to fighting him in melee...

Talisman of Beasts is definetly the catalyst to go for as edz said u can cast both magic and miracles with it so no need to swap out items...

And edz if he died after fighting storm rulers odds are he was alive and in body form any death lowers WT towards black
 
THE **** IS DEAD. GOOD!:mad::D

ended up taking all my armour off and dodging his attacks. Whilst smashing on his face with the crescent falcion +4 I could not roll for **** in armour which meant each time he hit me i fell down so bam free hit for him. Possibly coz my endurance is only 18 i think.

Got scraping spear and +1 to my shield. Scvir is a mare to get TOB from coz need to plan it ... get lots of ephemeral stones etc.

where to next hrmm.. 1-3 ? 3-2 or 5-1 ? decisions decisions.

Yeah I just wasn't sure if suicide shifted WT, also with some of the WT changes items can stay (like the bridge in 3-2) even if you lose PWT.

Scvir is tough like all of the BP's. Easiest way is to cast anti-magic field so he can't cast his fireball spell or even easier is to keep hitting him with poison/death cloud and run away.

Level 5-1 is the easiest overall as the boss is dead easy, but 1-3 is the most rewarding as you can free Biorr to help you with the boss (Penetrator) and Yuria who will offer you high level magic back in the Nexus.

Alternatively carry on and kill the Dragon God (2-3) and if you have PWT make sure you grab the Keel Smasher.

i thought i had PWT on 2 it really looked like it but left path was blocked. I mean jeez they could try to make a little bit clearer if a world is PWT because when most of the bosses are gone its not easy to change it further.

lets just say iits definately not PWT now :/
 
Well I 100% it yesterday, sold on ebay this morning and ever since I feel like I've made the wrong decision :(

Will be picking up the US deluxe version a.s.a.p :D
 
Anyone else received their US copy of this ?
Game is great, guide that comes with the deluxe edition is a disaster though, ink coming off at the slightest touch of the cover.
 
Im still plugging away on my imported Chinese copy; the american version wasn't out when I ordered, which is a shame as I'd have prefered the american translation and manual which might have made the stats etc a lot more easy to understand!

Havent had much time to play recently, but am up to Dragon God on 2-3, I really do hate all the fire and stuff on this level, I think its probably the hardest level yet for me, bar perhaps 4-2, which hurts a bit with all the rather nasty surprises like dual katana red-eyes skeletons. I ended up slowly prodding flamelurker to death around the skeleton rib cage on the left side of the area, as he tended to just smash me into the floor far far far too easily otherwise, my guy in full plate isnt the most nimble!

I would sell my copy and get the American version if the translation was better, but I dont really want to have to restart the entire game, I've sunk about 30-40 hours into it now!

Hey, for those with the US version - what are the servers like?

btw i assume that saved games are not compatible between diff regions?

Its the chinese import. To those that have the chinese version is the translation that bad?

Should i order the US import then sell on the chinese one?

The chinese version is identical to the US version in game, everything is in english apart from the manual.

It's pretty straight forward to work most things out, although you may want to check online for some of the symbols.
