Is it time for Beards to be cool again?

My skin refuses to accept a clean shave everyday - i get a rash and spots. Thought it was something that would change as I got older, but at 31 it's still a problem.

I simply sport well kept permenant stubble in a goatee-esk style, rather similar to Will Smith I guess.

I might try investing in propper razor, soap and pay attention to the proper shaving method to see if this makes a difference.

In my experience this look hasn't been a problem for work (IT/Client related) or job interviews. It also doesn't seem to be an issue for the ladies.

n

It doesnt work lol, Well didnt for me, when I was in Turkey I had a proper barber shop shave and never got any rash, Bought all the kit for it when I got home, and short of slicing my face a few times I still get a rash,

Never cut myself when I do it now tho :D

Im sporting the sort of beard where its not stuble and its not long just well maintained and from the jaw line up so my neck is clean,

Heard of the saying "Beardy wierdy" by any chance?

No. :p

Use an electric shaver then. Dam hard to irritate your skin with one.

It's pretty easy to irritate my skin with one.

This is the beard for me. :D

I have a beard, although mostly to hide the fact I have teh face of a 12 year old. i dont particularly like it, but the gf does, so it's all good.

I would grow one, but I work in retail and am not allowed to :(

course you are. thats just your manager pretending to be hitler. i doubt the stores nationwide rules will say anything about not having them.

if they do then grow one for religious reasons

Can't say I'm a fan of the beard - sorry gents. But I'll admit, some guys look better with them.

The bf hates them, he has a shaver at home, in the car and in his desk drawer at work so no matter where he is, if he feels stubble he can get rid straight away!

OCD?

Facial hair is quality. You can have several different styles in a week if you want and have the growth, mustard if you don't.

I'd love to have a full on beard, the problem I have is that stubble looks good, but the the time inbetween stubble and beard greatness takes around a month (I reckon for me at least) and looks really crap, oh plus the damn thing goes ginger after 2 weeks WTF?!

So I end up shaving it off after around 2 weeks, (not before sculpting a goatee, then a moustache, then tormenting my girlfriend by saying I'm keeping the moustache :D )
