Unfortunately there are many orders before yours.
Asus provides a BIOS and utility for upping the voltage to the GPU core. This officially enables overclocking to much higher levels than most other 5850/5870's without voiding their warranty. The Asus warranty also lasts 3 years compared to two for most other vendors.

I ordered a Gigabyte 5850 last week, and I have no idea when it comes in. I ordered by phone, and Ive just been givenan order number 3462674. I was told originally that I may get the card this monday, but now the telephone reps have no idea.
I feel Im getting missed out while others are getting cards, in which case I may force a refund and get it elsewhere

Sorry for the confusion it's been a let down for delivery again today. Gigabyte is confirmed for delivery tomorrow and it will be shipping out tomorrow.
The problem is so little quantity from so many people causes this type of
issue.
I will be doing another thread tomorrow so will keep you posted and sorry for the delay and the inconvenience caused.
FB - great job under difficult circumstances - got my 5850s today (nearly wrote 5850 X2 but thought that would be too exciting) - no retailer has much in the way of stock, at least you guys have sensible pricing on the 58XXs and try to manage our expectations.

I just had a look at the old shop and was pretty suprised to see just about all of the 58xx cards sold out again. with the exception of the HIS which seems a little overpriced compared to other 5850s.
also still pretty suprised that the high end nvidea cards are still priced as high as they are. especially the gtx285.
i recon its about time you split the 5870/5850 into different pages btw cant have nvidea claming all that page relestate
