Naga jolokia chillis

How come you ordered them online?

You can buy naga chillis from any decent asian foodstore :p

Naga isn't that hot anyway....well not if you eat hot foods 3 times daily anyway.
 
Tried a slice of one of these a while back - seeds 'n all. Very, very hot. It was bearable until it reached my stomach, then I needed milk. Only thing I've tried that was hotter was the oil from the top of a bottle of Blair's Death Sauce, and that tasted grim.
 
I believe the proper way to cook with these is to slice in half and deseed, the wipe the chilli across the meat - according to a bloke at work at any rate.

Eating thusly = pooping flaming lava.
 
Hmm... sounds like I need to try these, I keep putting a jar of Jalapenos on my pizzas and they're useless, where can I get these bad boys from? Take it you can't get them from Tesco?lol
 
[edit: To the above poster - I could never see these bad boys when I'm walking around Tesco (even the larger stores), but I've always had success when doing my online shop. Maybe they hide them away to stop kids rubbing them into their eyes :P]

I too bought these from Tesco's the other week as I'm a real fan of spicy food.

They're a great way to 'feed the addiction' that us hot food lovers have. Treat them with respect when you're preparing them and itll be good :)

Dicing them very finely and adding them to salsa is the way to go.

Oh, and leave the seeds in, puts hairs on your chest!
 
Ate one whole as a kid, bit of a stupid moment, my mate told me exactly what it was but I insisted it was a cape gooseberry. Ate the thing whole, chewed it for a bit, didn't taste particularly nice, kind of like grass, after about 20 seconds it felt like my mouth was bleeding. Not pleasent.

Downed about 4 pints of milk, then threw up.

Couldn't taste any food for about 5 days.

I'd go up to something less than these if you're just used to Jalapenos as they are right down the bottom of the Scoville scale. They sell African Birds Eye Chillis in most supermarkets, they're small and great on pizza (I slice them up quite finely and sprinkle over).

Can't seem to eat really hot food any more as it gives me awful indigestion these days :(

Reminds me of the time my mother in law was staying with us, she asked for a spicy pizza so I obliged with about 3 or 4 birds eye chillis on it, she found that a bit too spicy. My wife had a cold at the time and we persuaded her it may clear her blocked nose; I don't know if you've ever seen one of those cartoons when steam shoots out of people's ears upon eating spicy food, but the results were a bit like that. :D

i got a bag of bonnets from asda not long ago and it was my first experience with a chilli in that kind of league.

forgot to wash hands before going the toilet.

had my lad under the tap for 10 mins.

buy a litre of vodka, put 2 of those chili's in the bottle, leave over night, then try a shot of vodka...

I had a mate who did this once, we wondered why he had disappeared to the loo for so long, rather a funny story when he told us the next day at college (ugh, when he could stay put for more than 5 minutes) :D

I've got 'normal' chilli in the eye and damn... only thing worse than chillis is garlic. OMFG :eek:

chillies tend to increase your metabolism anyway, but what are we looking at here?


ill do this if its not going to hospitalise me or make me wander about the street nude.
 
I had naga paste on a poppadom and it really wasnt that hot it burnt my moutha bit but no more than any other hot dhall or vindaloo! they are hot yes but use in moderation and its fine :P
