Mens fashion - Why does it suck?

Gotta love Primark jeans. One leg 2 inches shorter than the other and a fit on the butt that says you didn't make it to the toilet in time. Cost you £200 quid for some genius from Evisu to design the same pair with seagull **** logo on the back pocket!

Topman = cheap, bad rip offs of other shop's stuff at highly inflated prices.

Burton = lower priced Topman.

Wasn't that long ago that GStar Raw jeans could be had for £30-40.

Nike Rifts are about the only decent trainers on the market for men where you aren't infringing on skateboard territory but cost an extortionate £75

The male fashion market needs a shop that is the equivalent to what women get from new Look.

I'm starting to develop expensive taste in clothes as the high street doesn't really cut it. I can walk into a shop and know within seconds if there's going to be anything. With a lot of places being online now it's difficult finding somewhere to try things on though, currently looking for a cable knit jumper and there's nothing.

Thread title is an oxymoron, tbh. I splashed out once and paid £10 for jeans instead of £3. Those aside, it's steel-capped safety boots, moleskin trousers, a checked shirt, and a brown checked lumber jacket for me. Then again, I spend my time in the countryside catching my food and suchlike, not doing my nails wondering if mantyhose is too mainstream nowadays before I hit Wetherspoons. :p :D

House of fraser = has everything you could need

all saints = trendy clothes not too pricey

make your own = alpha male just wears a loin cloth anyway

No I just use it as an exaggerated metaphor on the internet to emphasis my own personal dislike of spending vast sums of money for relatively simply clothing purchases.

Lighten up.

Sorry, I know it's OT but... that is such a class response. I may just have to steal it.

I'm looking on GQ website at the moment and what is the deal with men's fashion? It is so limited and restricted compared to women's clothing. Men wear clothes as well! Grrr rant coming.

There is high street clothing which I think is expensive for what it is, £20 on a shirt I spent in Burton the other day. In the high street there are like what 4 shops each shop has like say 4 different style / coloured items in what ever range. So out on a night out you are bond to see some one else wearing the same shirt or top or jeans as you.

Now I have just seen a shirt on GQ that I would wear on a night out, I like the style the colour looks great but non of the high street shops sell it. Oh and the other problem is that it costs £469!!

In the womens market they would be able to get a near exact style shirt, jacket, shoes or what ever for the high street prices, but we can't.

Mens fashion market really does suck.

*Thanks in advance for all the gay and homo comments.

As a rule of thumb, men should avoid fashion altogether and just wear wifebeater vests and pyjama bottoms. Real money should only be spent on scotch.

problem is you shop at burtons. by the time the clothes have filtered down to the highstreet chains, its just all massed produced stuff in multiple colours... you really cant complain at those prices. if its cheap, everyones gonna have it.
