end of democracy in the uk 12th oct

When man was living in caves there were places he didn't go after dark because it wasn't worth the risk.

Society has been collapsing since the dawn of time then?

We are not different tribes or factions or kingdoms at war, we are a single country...

The last thing the BNP need is special treatment like this. They've fed off of the current regime's failings for a long time. A cowardly move like this will only make the scumbags stronger.

The BNP wouldn't even be a blip on the radar if they were allowed to come out and have their say. Let them speak and watch them drown.

Epic fail if that happens.

They are elected members, they have every right to be there. They may be various things but they have as much right as anyone else. People voted for those BNP members to represent them and they beat every other party to win those seats.

Exactly, they won those seats fair and square. Measures such as these are entirely counter-productive.

That's a very good point to be fair; the BNP do have a fantastic ability to shoot themselves in the foot whenever allowed to do anything. It's only when somebody goes hard against them that they gain sympathy.

Much as I disagree with their views, I can't believe that any politician in their right minds can actually think that this is a good idea.

Maybe it's something to do with the surname "Brown"?

It's a bad idea unless they're going to ban all MEPs from the HoC (and if so on what grounds?) because it allows the BNP to play the martyr card which they so enjoy doing. It's almost up there with their "silent majority" schtick for amount of times it is used but unfortunately banning them from places they should legitimately be allowed into is not the way to forestall them.

Personally I'm (rather naively perhaps) hopeful that allowing the BNP to air their views will be more than sufficient for most people to dismiss them as the ill-thought out and reactionary claptrap they are.

Not that it will ever happen here but given hindsight, if you could go back to the 1930s and outlaw people like Hitler getting a foothold would you have done it ?

It's an interesting question but the main problem with it is that we have no idea of what may have occurred in the place of Hitler and the Third Reich - whatever it potentially could have been may have been even worse, hard though that may be to envisage.

society has collapsed yes it has.

It has? I'm surprised the panic that must surely have ensued didn't alert me, the people running for the hills can't have been that unnoticeable and yet as far as I can tell society is carrying on perfectly normally - that's not to say it is perfect but saying it has collapsed is hyperbole.

Maybe that is your interpretation of 'social collapse', but I really think you see things... differently than others. Not in a clever way, either.

Let him in.

One more deluded knacker in Westminster is hardly a shocker and I have to side with the democratic process and he is an elected MEP.

I really want to see Nick Griffin in debates. He will be taken apart by the likes of Cameron, Clegg and even Brown and shown up for the opportunistic ****** that he is.

While I am no fan of mainstream parties, Griffin in power is like a rabbit in a headlight. He has not got a clue and he is the worst of a poor bunch.

While Britain's immigration policy is debatable to say the least, I find it amazing that people think Nick Griffin has any credible policies to get this country on its feet again.

I blame the collapse of society on falling standards of English literacy.

I also would like to see Nick Griffin in a debate with the likes of Cameron, Clegg and Brown. It's strange how so many people don't want to touch the man with a 12 foot barge pole. Well on second thought it's not that strange to be honest, but he was democratically elected to his position and should be treated as such, in the principles of a free and democratic nation.

Ok, leaving aside from the fact that I'm quite happy with my national and cultural identity perhaps you could explain why one or the other is even necessary?

If we don't have social solidarity then what do we have? Anarchy? Note that I'm neither saying nor attempting to suggest that our society is perfect, none is, but giving dire and exaggerated proclamations hardly sways me to your viewpoint.

I'm sorry but I have absolutely no idea what you mean by "eusociality", please could you rephrase it for me?

I fixed that for you.

comprising also possible characteristics or conditions such as national or cultural identity = we never had one now its because the real english live in Ireland mostly they were kicked out by our ancestors when they invaded, damn we are a bunch of colonising mongrols

:p

i think you'll be shocked if you think that.
