Americans on xbox live

When ever I play on Live I'm sure to come across one retard. The English people are just as bad as the Americans, if not worse. I think the bad thing about live is that it's just filled with annoying kids.

im 100% with you on this one, they are SOOO rediculously annoying, americans are just over the top period, everything they say and do is over the top in some way. but then i played with some seriously annoying english people on xbox live as well, all from the south eastern regions shall we say ;)

Thing about online is you can be lucky or unlucky.

I have been with annoying french, german, america, british and so on.

Depends on the time of the day you play too, because that influences who you will mostly find online.

You can't beat the PS3 voice changer for total annoyingness though. I'm fed up of hearing helium screeching loonies or deep-breathing bass-pitched stalkers. LOL.

Everything everyone has said above is the reason i never ever bother to ever put a mic on. I really can't be bothered listening to the 'N' word in every sentance. Or some annoying skid mark who's just out to annoy.

God everytime i went into a COD 4 that had yanks in all i would hear is 'Soulja boy up in this oohhhh, watch me crank it....'etc....!!!!

I think you can get a strong idea of what they are like by reading film comments on imdb, all totally over the top and attack eachother for the slightest thing, im suprised they havent all killed eachother by now, its the main thing that puts me off going on online games.

We've had many conversations with dumb americans on live.
Some highlights were:
One that didn't know where the uk or europe was.
One saying we were just bitter because they won the war against us.I pointed out america had never been to war with the uk.
One saying we used their language. And he refused to accept it was english he spoke.

It's been that way for years, and it's not limited to Xbox Live.

I used to play CS:Source competitively, and often my OWN TEAM would mock the welsh accent :p

I have also been in games where someone has a stereotypical accent and it's usually a good laugh if they are game for a laugh. One springs to mind on a public CS server where someone screamed "he's insoide, he's insoide" haha

I personally notice that most other gamers are fine, regardless of where they are from... except Halo 3 and Gears of War.

Why is it that everyone American on there has to sound like a gangster, reffering to themselves and everyone else with the old *n word* and calling everyone else gay, often before the game has even begun and just on the game setup screen. The same also goes for most of the white kids, who are also trying to be gangsters. Then the rest tend to be very young kids who like doing things such as making weird noises into the headset, singing or playing music down it.

Don't forget the "beatch" word as well.

I don't bother with the mic any more unless I'm on with friends.
