Anyone actually still play this>? i feel utterly gutted that it did not take off but couple terirble graphics with dreadful player interaction and you do end up with a steaming pile of horse wee. Ive just watched a load of the promo videos on youtube and man, they are missleading.

The only reason I would play this was for the lore/WH setting. I tried to play it but the gameplay held me back and I couldn't excuse that fact. Which is unfortunate as I love the warhammer setting.

I've just given up on MMOs completely, i've never looked back. Half of me wants to start WoW up again but I want to play other games too, so I know i'll never do it.

Graphics were fine, the basic gameplay was fine (I enjoyed the PQ's and such like).

Sadly all MMO's now are pick a class and buy skills when you get to certain levels. There's no uniqueness. Until there is a uniqueness back in MMO's I can't see me playing them (hence I try and do as many beta tests as possible).

after i realised the game was doomed, i just re-rolled different classes and joined the tier 1 scenario's over and over... i could have happily played them all day long .

I played a lot when the game was released - got to around level 21 and then the 'grind' really started to put me off. It's a shame because we had some great battles when trying to take the keeps...

lol.

Sorry what?! The grind? There was a grind? If you mean some actual time and effort then yeah, But that comes part and parcel with every mmo doesnt it?

i just thought the whole thing was boring :/
it looks very nice and i like the setting as post people have pointed out. but gameplay was sooo limited.
Aion is quite good though, enjoying playing that with my housemate atm, its a nice break from the raiding side of WoW.

They're not my words, but I feel the same way. Just because every other MMO does it, doesn't make it right.

Once my characters hit the teens in Warhammer, the game slowly turned from being amazing fun into a boring grind. Those first ten levels, when you could spend virtually the entire time in the scenarios was amazing - I must have levelled every class in that game to level ten at least - even levelling the identical classes from either side didn't get boring. Then when you moved up into the teens you had to start moving from one race's area to another to make sure you got enough exp, the scenarios became less and less frequent and it turned into a bore.

The first ten levels of Warhammer Online was one of the best starter experiences I can recall in an MMO (and I've been playing them since UO), but after that it descended into the horror that most others do - boredom and grinding.

I Played for a month or so, including the 14 day trial.
I personally thought this game wasn't so bad.
My main problems being:

Slight constant server lag.
Terrible optimisation for hardware (but what games aren't now?)
Spell animations were ugly, this is one of the most underated thoughts in games imo.
Lack of players.

The first 15 levels coupled with public quests are some of the most fun ive ever had, altough once the players dwindled, the public quests just failed.

I'd give Fallen Earth a try. No classes and a unique setting. Sure it needs a little polishing at present but its only been out a month or so and theres definite potential there. I'm really enjoying it so far.

Went back to it about two weeks ago, and I'm having a blast. Mind you, I'm levelling about 4 characters at once, so it's all tier 1 and 2 RvR so far which always worked really well. No idea if T4 is still borked. Fortresses no longer have to be locked for city sieges anymore though, so there seem to be pretty regular city sieges now.

Finally getting a graphics polish in the next few patches too, bloom and stuff. Some other nice touches too, in the map for example, a PQ chest glows gold if there are people doing it.

Good it was stupid you had to run to every PQ in every area in the hope of finding an active one. And PQ’s were turning into a grind fest by late T2. The amount of influence you needed went up and up meaning you had to run them over and over just to max out. That’s when you found an active one.
