The all encompassing BNP thread - keep all crap in here.

How is it relevant to make you fill in a "ethnicity equality" form thing?

That's for internal use. Its up to the firm if they want to use it.

I assume they use it to make sure correct proportions of ethnicities are being hired.

Say for example, if the NHS had only 0.1% asians in jobs. Then something is obviously going wrong there, unless theres a rational reason to think asians should be performing so much worse than population proportion.

Looks like Griffin being on Question Time has given some of the bigots on our forum the confidence to step forward and show themselves. :p

I said it before but they really should have just completely dropped the race issue and gone after him on other issues. Economics\Civil liberties etc and just watched him crucify himself.

Jack Straw was the biggest clown of the night though, by far. Since the BNP are targeting Labour voters you'd think Labour would send their best to head Griffin off. But no, they send Straw. It seemed to me like he'd scribbled down 4 or 5 emotional diatribes before he went on air and irrespective of the question just reeled them off one by one. What a tool.

Thought the Tory woman was pretty good, Huhne was better. That black woman from the museum was a waste of space. Took diversity on the panel a step too far there. :p

Gotta love the defenses you lot come up with. You lot have confirmed to me how immature you are. "ohh he said something against my view, he must be gay or have issues" Its like being in school all over again.
Sheesh I'm only tweakin' your tail :D

I've got nothing against homosexuals, whatever someones gets upto in their own time is completely their own business. I'm also all for civil partnerships, its a persons right.
Absolutely.

However I'm talking about general manners here. To see someone openly necking someone else in full view of public, regardless of a persons sexual preference, I dont want to be walking the street and turn a corner to be confronted with that, and I'd bet the majority of people wouldn't want it either.
Agreed. I'm sure you'll agree then there's nothing wrong with gay men holding hands, walking arm in arm, giving each other a peck on the lips in public or generally behaving in a thoroughly 'civilised' manner in line with most heterosexual couples.

And of course, that as you have nothing against homosexuals, I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem with children being taught about people who, despite being 'different' are perfectly well-functioning members of society and so there is nothing to be afraid of.

Depends on your metric to be honest. I don't want to get involved in the BNP debate (although the audience demographic made me lol). But, in terms of continuation of life (genetically) homosexuality is wrong. Morally wrong? No. Ethically wrong? No. But biologically? Highly likely. Depends on how one asseses these things.

I'm assuming masturbation is arguably biologically wrong in that case, not that I think either that or homosexuality actually are.

So is contraception I would assume. Plus we're not exactly on the brink of extinction and you don't have to be gay to never produce offspring (be that through choice or circumstance or whatever).

The human race does plenty of things that are detrimental to our ability to breed. Should all those be deemed wrong and banned?
I did not say they should be banned. Neither did I say I personally found it 'wrong'. I was saying it depends how you define things as wrong. For instance, as the lesbian woman near the end pointed out, she is repulsed by heterosexuals kissing. I.e. That is 'wrong' to her...

Horses for courses. However, given the predominant sexuality in nature (probably >99% of sexual relationships across kingdom animalia) is hetereo, it is logical to label the alternative as an aberration.

I don't particularly enjoying watching anyone get off in public.

So why not drop all of the above.

Let me tell you why.

Or why don't you explain why?

Don't forget to explain percentages

Are you asking me why we shouldn't lower the minimum wage? Did anyone even suggest that?

In other news, the minimum wage is both anti-capitalist and not a living wage.

Sorry theres a bit of heat in here tonight ;)

Yes I'd agree with that. I think it comes down to a problem with general civil manners and respect toward other people.

How does it help them that wages are up if everything suddenly costs more as a result of higher wages?

That's not even the worst effect.

Simple labour demand economics. Minimum wages result in extra unemployment.

In theory if its done solely to prevent exploitation, it shouldn't result in extra unemployment. But using it as a tool to help people on lower income jobs increase their wages is stupid.

Hundreds of millions of devout religous followers around the world would disagree. Maybe they are as wrong as Griffin?

Being a devout follower of any religion doesnt make your views any more or less correct. Religion can be just as racist or have just as much hatred as the most extreme political groups.

Heh sorry, light-hearted banter doesn't come across to well over text :p

It's just a shame that, when you look at the BNP constitution, that they appear to have no regard for general civil manners and respect when determining who 'deserves' to be in the country, but would rather mould the country around the colour of people's skin, rather than the character, personality or merits of each individual. :(

I'll agree that people flagrantly getting off is a bit gross, but I'm curious about why gays are being singled out.
It's quite simple really. As they majority of people are straight, and have been bought up as straight and surrounded by straight relationships. The situation will OBVIOUSLY change in the next decade-century.

Wrong in what way?
Immoral in what way?
Sick in what way?

Come on Gibbo, spell it out.

because I am against it, the bible is against it, most heterosexual men are against it, some laws are against it, hey, any holes a goal tho fella so fill your boots :)
