worryingly it looks like nick griffin has indeed gained abit of martyrdom from tonights debacle going by some posts on this forum lol. The papers are absolutely murdering nick griffin on just about everything he opened his mouth to, even though some of it did accurately reflect how the general counties population feels about some issues. (immigration being foremost)

Jack Straw was being a blind fool on immigration tonight, reactions like his tonight are why I will not be voting for Labour next election. It made me shake my head when he didn't give an anwser about capping immigration, time after time when he was asked he dodged the question. Even if the conservatives did start the immigration policy... that was years ago. When will labour realise that they have been in power for so long that blaming the last government 12 years ago doesn't work anymore?
Nick Griffin just doesn't have a clue full stop. I almost felt embarrassed for him tonight, he shot himself in the foot. He had platform to be in every house in the UK with a TV tonight and he failed and looked like a fool.
David and the panel were tough on him.. but why not? Any decent politician would have at least made a good case on their beliefs and vision, Nick was a scared rabbit in the head lights, and he actually got ran over tonight.

Something that did make me giggle was the girl on the front row asking how "Nick would define ethnic minorities when we're all ethnic minorities from Africa", or words to that effect. No love. Ethnic minorities are those ethnicities in the minority in a country... e.g. muslims in the UK and Smurfs in Belgium. We're not all descended from those minorities (as they were the majority). Dumb broad.

Well the majority in my generation(21) is mostly fine about homosexuality. I do find the older generations do have prejudice built into them due to the way the world brought them up back then.
They find it hard to change.

Doesn't mean jack-**** though does it? Age is relative. We have an entire society of adults out there who never grow-up. Now, I'm not saying that you're immature - just that you have a very simple world-view. I don't know if that's because you're too scared to rock the boat, or wether you've never been in turbulant waters, either way: I can't agree with you. Objectively speaking, I think it may simply be because I'm seeing far more variables than you are willing or even aware of. It's not that you're incapable - that would be an unfair assertion - more that you're just oblivious for whatever reason and thus only concluding on the minute information available to you.
Anyway, kudos for taking that as it was intended and not getting riled. I do actually respect posters for that, so welcome to the list.

Whilst I respect your opinion and your right to actually put it across, I dont agree with the "most heterosexual men are against it" as quite frankly most people couldn't care less. I have gay neighbours who are married and they are probably some of the friendliest people I know and I can't think of a single reason why they shouldn't be together.
We as a country should feel enriched by the amount of culture we all basque in from one form to another.
